"When all automotive places in Montrose could not do brakes on a short notice, Tom was willing to help us...we were in town from NM visiting Ouray and he was very professional, courteous and did a great job!"

"August 18th 2020 We on holiday and the a/c goes out. I looked around and called quite a few and Toms was the only one willing to help that day. I jumped in with both feet as he's a one man show but a competent mechanic. We found the issue, aeak on the commlressor. Bought one that day in town and had it installed next day. As our Excursion is a split system as it turned out only the front was blowing cold. So, evacuate the system and clear the lines with compressed air. There is apparently an expansion valve in the rear where the blower is. Lines seemed to be clear. The fiter was clogged up though! Back together and recharged and system was blowing cold again, both front and back. Excellent work and a fair price. August 23, 2020 Update* The ac worked for 2 days and then began a slow decent to not cooling completely. It still cools but not to the degree it did before the compressor failure and certainly bot to the degree after it was repaired. The risk you take having a mechanic do work while not in your place of residence. It still cools just not to its original strength. Ill update as Im calling him today to discuss the repair. Im reducing to 3 stars until I have resolution"

"I can't speak highly enough of Tom and his business. My A/C has been out for a while, today without notice I had one business hour free and just started calling auto a/c places that showed up on google. He was the only person who would see me on short notice. I hesitated bc he seemed a little gruff on the phone and his shop was a little out of the way but I'm so glad I went. He walked me through everything he was doing and why, answered all my questions clearly, and demonstrated an expert and experienced understanding of the car's A/C system. Unfortunately it turned out that the compressor wasn't working, but when I asked about doing it myself he walked me through the steps rather than just dismissing it as too difficult for me, as something I would need him to fix. I'm a 30 year old female and I've been burned multiple times when moving to a new place and trying to find an honest quality mechanic who is skilled as well as respectful. From here on out I will be taking my car to Tom's."
