"I had to pay $238 to replace a cheap piece of plastic on my 1 year old Maytag wash machine. They charged $56 for the exact same part that sells on Amazon for $10. They charged $114 for a trip charge and diagnosis, which I had already diagnosed because I could clearly see that the plastic piece that locks the lid was broken. He charged $55 for labor which took him under 1 minute to do. He just twisted one small piece of plastic off and twisted another one on. When I called the manager to see if they would consider taking off the labor charge, she immediately developed a snarky attitude and did not empathize with my situation. I own a business and I understand the importance of listening to the customer and trying to understand their frustration. I also realize the value of giving up $55 in order to keep a customer. My piece of junk Maytag machine, which I regrettably purchased, will most likely need more repairs in the future. I will not be calling Westside Appliance Repair."

"7/27/23 We had a major repair on our Subzero unit. our Tech Richard W was as good as they come. Thank you We had several call back visits. Very satisfied with there attention and persistence to resolve problems that called for return service at no cost to me. Very impressed with the way they had a quality service in mind. Mich was tech that brought this to a conclusion. Very pleased with all his efforts. Back by a company with integrity. Thank You"

"We have a newer GE refrigerator (3 years old) and it has 7 LED lights on the inside. One of them went out and according to the manual I needed to contact a service tech. I reached out to Westside. They came and replaced on of the lights and charged us $270.00! For a part that cost $25. We had another light go out. I was still upset about the $270.00 charge, so called GE. They were super helpful. Sent me a video on how to change the light, sent the $25 light and gave me a 15% discount and free shipping. I just replaced the light. Took all of 5 minutes. $125 - $150 or would not be a crazy price to pay because of the service call, but $270.00? Really? Will never call Westside for anything."

"I called service to set up an appointment for a time when I could be home to let the service person in. 3 days before my scheduled service date, the service person ( not the actual service department) left me a message saying that something personal came up on my scheduled appointment date and asked if he could come that very day. I called the service department back to tell them YES I could be home that same day. I waited for 2.5 hours without a call from the service person, and when I reached out to him he told me he already left for the day (3pm). He then proceeded to tell me that he checked his messages from Westside Appliance’s service department and had received none. Westside Appliance, the communication and professionalism in your company needs improvement. I will try another appliance service company. Jennifer B."

"My landlord called someone to come check out my leaking dishwasher. Not sure the name of the guy, but he pulled it out and (from across the room) I notice some black specks on the lining. I ask is that dead bugs on there? My landlord (who has little experience with this stuff; that’s why she calls the pros) said she wasn’t sure. Repair guy kept quiet, did his thing behind the dishwasher with his LED headlamp strapped to his head. Says he fixed the leak and then tries to rush out of there quick as can be, and is kind of pushy about paying right now…couldn’t wait a couple seconds for me to point out the broken light to my landlord on her way out. My landlord and I note that it was kind of an awkward interaction, but figure it’s Friday, he just wants to be done with his work day. So Saturday I open a cabinet next to my dishwasher and find black specks in there. I immediately connect the dots that it’s mouse poop, and what I saw on the dishwasher was mouse poop, and there’s probably more where that came from because that’s how mice work. So my boyfriend pulls out the dishwasher again and lo and behold there’s poop literally everywhere, and 2 dead crusty mice who have clearly been there for several months. Now, is it the appliance repair guy’s job to alert us of dead mice and hundreds of pieces of poop after he pulls the entire dishwasher out of our counter? No. But is it something a good human would do instead of pretending he saw nothing? Obviously. I get that dude wanted to go on about his workday, but it’s pretty pathetic of him to just choose to pretend it didn’t happen when we clearly had no idea about it. Poor customer service in that regard. Don’t know if my leak is fixed because now I’m waiting for an exterminator to come (super fun to have to deal with on the weekend when he could have just told us about it at 11am on Friday!)"
