"If you want a shipping company with terrible communication, and no backup plans if there’s a power outage - these are your people. I read some of the other negative comments and left a full description in the body of an email to the email address left by Estes to the other 1-star reviews but didn’t hear anything back. Luckily, I was just receiving an item but if I was shipping - I’d look elsewhere."

"Horrible 8 day experience getting my whole delivery brought to my house. We paid $50 to get a product shipped to our house ( it was composed of 3 boxes that were all on one pallet). The initial delivery was fine except they had split up the pallet and lost one of the boxes. I contacted them and they said it might take up to 2 days to find. After 3 days of no contact, I called and they finally went to try to find it. They found it and promised delivery the next day ( but I would have to be home for the full day because they had a 9 hour delivery window). By 3pm the next day, I still hadn't received it and called to verify it was coming. Estes said it was probably on a truck and would call me back to confirm. Three hours later (a full hour after the end of the delivery window), I called again only to find that my package had never even been put on a truck and I had wasted a full day at home waiting for it. This time they promised I would be notified 1 hour before they showed up to deliver so I wouldn't have to wait home all day but they couldn't deliver until after the weekend. After waiting most of the day Monday for the delivery and even calling to confirm it really was coming and that I would get an hour's heads up, they called the wrong phone number to give me a 30 min heads up to be home for delivery. I understand that things get lost and misplaced and I tried to be understanding of that, but the complete lack of communication was very unprofessional and aggravating. Estes never once called me back as promised or contacted me about delays or problems. The only calls I got during the whole ordeal were the two 30 min delivery notices."

"We used Estes for our heavier freight and they would immediately interline with another freight company. With the extra handling of the freight it was almost a for sure thing that the freight would be damaged. If you have the option use a different carrier."
