"Flying in and out of Des Moines is easy and often more relaxed than most airports. Mainly because it’s small and cozy. I’ve flown when the weather is very bad and when it’s really great. Not thrilled when the ice cometh but glad that the experienced teams at the airport tarmac keep everyone safe. This airport always has clean restrooms when I’m there and plenty of room to relax waiting for flights. There’s a nice cafe. The food was good. I’ve made purchases at the gift shop and got sundry snacks before I board in my way elsewhere. All good. There’s a Starbucks at this airport when you’re coming and going but not inside the terminal. My favorite part is the welcoming local arts and sculptures to enhance my travel experiences. Each visit meets my expectations."
"The terminal experience was great. Low volume of people, quick check-in process, and light walk to the terminals. As for the flight, it was delayed due to technical difficulties. Overall, it was a good experience with the service provided."
"I flew in and out of the airport for the first time and was thoroughly impressed! It was small enough so that you aren't walking forever and it's very clean. There are plenty of food options including a nice dine in restaurant/bar. If you are picking up and dropping off a rental car you don't have to use shuttles. There are plenty of places to sit and charge your phone throughout the airport. I noticed a sign that improvements are coming soon, so I guess it will just continue to improve!"
