"I reached out to MainStay Suites regarding blocking off rooms for my wedding in June. When I first called (a Friday), I gave the front desk lady all the information (dates, how may rooms, etc) & she told me the General Manager, Susie, would get in contact with me about the next steps. She did say she wasn't sure she would have time that day, but said she would for sure call Monday. Monday rolled around and I hadn't heard anything by 3pm so I thought I would follow up. I was forward to Susie's voicemail so I left her a message. On Tuesday I was in an appointment and received a call from Susie at 10:40am. I called back as soon as I was out of my appointment (a little after 11am) and was again sent to her voicemail. I did not hear back from her at all Tuesday and waited till 3pm again Wednesday where I tried again and again was given her voicemail. I left voicemails Thursday and Friday of that week as well. It has been 2.5 weeks with 5 voicemails I have left and I have still never gotten a call back from anyone at MainStay Suites. I am not one to leave negative reviews, but I would NOT recommend MainStay if you are looking for a hotel in the Waukee area."
"Friendly staff and clean room. Our family enjoyed the pool as well! The king bed was so comfy with a variety of pillows."
"The front desk women the night of my stay were fantastic and energetic, despite me checking in at 1am. It was great to be able to get off my flight and be greeted by someone with a smile. Beds are nice too."
"Rooms were nice but I kept finding various bugs in the room. Spiders, crickets, ants and beetles. There’s also not a whole lot around the area but restaurants and stuff are only about 10 minutes away. The area is nice and quiet."
"Wow what can I say about this place the word fantastic I'm not sure even describes it the people are very friendly the food was delicious the room was clean and orderly this is a new hotel with a pool and a laundry room and a workout room they are still spraying water on the side outside. These people are very happy to help you and it's only about a 10-minute drive to downtown Des Moines in a very very safe neighborhood. Usually in hotels it's the people that make the difference and these people definitely make it a much better stay"
