"4 months ago (October 2023) we called hansons for what we thought would be a quick and easy window job.. we asked for just one window frame to be built in our bathroom. First of all, the appt was scheduled for 2pm and the employees just showed up at 8:30 am with no warning. They worked on the window from outside and left screws and debris all over the yard while taunting my dog. They never finished the window on the inside, so we scheduled another appt. About a month or 2 later someone from hansons shows up to “take measurements” to order window frame parts???? The lady who ordered the parts still (February 2024) has no idea where these parts are…. So fast forward to February the employees show up confused, without the window frame parts, and ran to the Home Depot twice saying they didn’t have what they needed… they hand cut some low quality materials in our front yard and AGAIN LEFT DEBRIS EVERYWHERE. They are constantly rescheduling, lying, late or just don’t show up to fix anything. Where’s the integrity? I’m not sure this is even a real company. EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED AND DISAPPOINTED. Please never come back we will fix this freaking window ourselves with zero building experience we can do a far better job than hansons. I feel bad for anyone who chooses this company. The best part honestly was the employees music on his phone as a distraction."

"Very nice and knowledgeable salesman! He answered all 400 of my questions. I would recommend him to others looking for windows. He walked us through all of the options on the windows and all the financial stuff."

"Just an update here: A big guy from the company came to my house to talk and check out all the things that need to fixed. Looked, confirmed, placing order and going to have someone else call me. NOTHING!!!!!! I did find out that they have to put the vents back in that they covered up, I told them to replace but nope don't need them, they said.so here we are still, no calls, over a year later. It's been nearly a year since work started. They put new windows in, very happy with that part. Siding was a terrible situation. The bad dream is still reoccurring after nearly a year. The things that are wrong is the color; I wanted black and grey- ended up with green and clay, they said sorry but they don't work with that company no more. Not even close... Siding not put up properly, not put up at all in some areas, people putting siding up put ladders on screens and punctured holes in brand new screens, wrong color of Siding, birds are building nest in under corner of Siding not put up properly, overlap of Siding is wrong all around house, installers of Siding never tarped the ground so that results in nails ALL over the ground, I have picked up nearly 250 nails so far, which resulted in me getting 2 flat tires in my driveway, communication is the worst, many, many no call no shows. Just this month alone; 3 appointments have been changed on their part. I changed my Dr. appointment to meet with theirs needs and they still cancel on me. I would strongly recommend DO NOT USE this company."

"Just got a $67,000 new siding job here in Johnston Iowa. The install crew was amazing and so hardworking (but not affiliated w Hansons and spoke little English). A Hansons employee never set foot on my property and only did business over the phone. No follow ups or checking in w homeowners. The crew said (I think) they would be back to finish a couple things and never returned. It’s been 2 weeks."

"I would not recommend Hanson's for windows, the experience has been terrible from start to finish. Windows were measured incorrectly, the contractors did an incomplete job when installing (rips in 2 of the screens, sticky caulking around the windows, trim did fit correctly due to windows being measured incorrectly from Hanson's) The contractors had to return to repair the work a second time, we had to take extra days off of work because of this. Initial installation was in November after waiting 2 months for the windows from the manufacturer and then the windows had a black debris on them (was told due to poor manufacturing) and job was just finally finished last week 12/20/22. We have received multiple calls/text messages 2 days after the job was complete that our account was being sent to collections and was past due. The issues with in the installation and windows were not our mistakes, however Hanson's windows has treated us like the mistakes THEY made was our fault. The customer service with Hanson's windows has also been terrible, promises for returned calls from managers to help handle multiple issues with unreturned calls from them."
