"SOM is a welcoming school and organization. They've become like friends and family. SOM is a friendly & loving community and accepts people from all walks and stages of life. I attended the school for 9 months and would have liked to have longer; however, I still take any opportunity to be involved. The school is open to people of all ages (advisably 13+). I learned about it at just the right time in my life. The school is a 501c3, and all of your courses and book purchases are donations. A few of the short courses they offer include Dreamschool, Concentration, & Astrology (archetypes, symbols, & energies, etc). The weekly school is called the Mastery of Consciousness. Each lesson takes you deeper into learning about and understanding yourself and how, in doing so and changing your mental attitudes, you can change your life and relationship with yourself and others, learning to love unconditionally, healing blockages stored in your memory and body, and sending healing loving energy to others. The lessons are powerful and refined. They teach universal laws and truths and naturally open and expand your perspective of life. Each lesson builds upon the previous, and you will learn essential life skills such as self-respect, concentration, listening, imagination, breath work, and meditation. My teacher was Mari, who is so wise, kind, & compassionate and has been in the school for decades. I enjoyed the selection of books that are chosen throughout the lessons. You will also learn and practice exercises along the way. The school has been invaluable--helping me to become more intuitive with my own needs, in learning to respond and be more aware in everyday life. It's a lifelong process and truly requires your commitment to making the changes. Everything in life is transitory, and no matter your beliefs, this is a welcoming space for all. They provide such an open atmosphere that allows you to grow, and I really appreciate having that space and trusting them to talk to. They really care and listen. I hope that more people will discover the school and benefit from all they have to offer. It's a hidden gem for sure."
