"At first it was hard to find the entrance but, after that it was a little walk to find it. Lots of dead shad laying around."

"I wouldn't say this place is a park, as much as it is a large pond or a small lake. A narrow grass path leads down to the water from the parking area and I didn't see any other paths, although to be fair, I wasn't really looking for them. Once at the water it seemed that you could walk around most of it. My son and I fished for about an hour or so and caught maybe a dozen or so bluegill and perch (slip bobber set to about 5 feet with a nightcrawler, cast about 20 to 30 feet out). Overall, I would say that if you have young ones that you just want to have catch a fish (any fish) this is a great place. Was there in late May, so bring your Bug Soother. Would give 5 stars if the parking was better."
