"I had two brand new van tennis shoes with the tags on to sell. My son received last year as a gift. He had out grown them. They offered me 10 dollars a piece for two brand new shoes. Also offered me $2 for a pair of nice Nike sweatpants. I felt insulted. I'd never go to this location again."

"Usually I’m not the type to leave a review but I have tried contacting this store multiple times over an issue I had there with my last visit. I have called almost everyday multiple times a day but they seem to either ignore customers or turn the phone off, with calling them I have left multiple voice mails and I have left a couple emails as well. (I haven’t been able to physically stop in due to living over an hour away from the store). But going along with what everyone else has written Plato’s Ankeny does not look threw clothes, usually it was my go to place to sell but I’ve been told it would be over an hour for it to be looked through, turns out it was two minutes and they took one thing off the top nothing else was looked through. I have even thought things I have bought from this platos and still Nothing, brands such as gym shark, nike, champion, Fabletics etc. I also made sure to bring in the things they said they needed at the time but still nothing. While I see things on the rack that have holes, stains, and are outdated. This use to be one of my favorite places to shop but not so sure anymore. I’m only leaving this review because this seems to be on the only way to get this stores attention."

"Brought in a large basket, they passed on some things that were brand name but they were summer items and the season is over so I understand. The buy was done quickly and staff was polite. Store was organized and neat looking. Will be back."

"I brought in 2 boxes of clothing and a coach purse. They didn’t take one item. What appeared to me as one of the team leaders told me that they didn’t see anything worth taking. Not even the Coach purse! I felt like I was treated as 2nd hand as my stuff wasn’t good enough! I feel like I had some really nice clothes in there! She was arrogant and rude and I left feeling like I wasn’t good enough. Not everyone who comes into this store is looking for NAME BRANDS! Will never go there again! Stuff-It took my clothes with open arms!"

"This place is a scam! They bought 3 items for $7.20 and one of the items was new with a tag that I paid at Forever 21 for $29.99. They gave me basically about $2 for each item but they will sell those items like new and make way more profit. There was another time they wanted to buy my North Face shorts that cost me $70 and they offered me $3 so I just took my shorts back with me because they’ll give you $3 and then sell it for at least $20. There were a few times when I ended up with other peoples stuff in my bag or in the bin so things here are not being done properly as I can tell. Also, this location accepts the most strangest items like they won’t accept my stuff that are brand new with tags but will accept stuff with stains on it like what sense does that make? I think it’s better if you just sell your stuff on Facebook marketplace or something because you’ll get way more for your money, save time, and money because the $7 they gave me is not even enough for the amount of gas I need to get there and it’s not worth it."
