"I'd give this place zero stars. Helpful hardware place is an absolute joke. Employee had every excuse under the stars about why they couldn't cut a couple of keys, but the guy at Ankeny hardware was more than happy to. But don't worry, I won't ever come back to inconvenience the employees. This place sucks."
"BAD STOCK, BAD SALESPEOPLE... Worst Ace EVER... Sales people must have never seen a guy with long hair cause every customer service rep refused to talk or even make eye contact with me. Been there 4 times now lookin for things to fix the house but they are always out. They never know when stuff is coming in either. I never leave reviews but dang this was a terrible place. Pass on by if you can go to walmart where its cheaper and in stock!"
"Need to update your google if you are closed. Just drove to this location in the Blizzard to get a shovel because it said you guys where open. Sat in the parking lot and watched 10 different cars pull up trying to get in as well. Don’t say you’re open if you’re not."
"I live 5 minutes from two big box hardware stores, but choose to drive out of my way to go to Ace Hardware. Every time I need help finding something, a knowledgeable person will show me exactly where the product is. Everyone is friendly and the store is big enough to have what I need yet not so large that it’s overwhelming. If you sign up for their rewards they will send nice coupons in the mail, and the 3% back with the Apple Card is great too!"
"I can’t say enough good things about this business! But the customer service is by far the best! Someone always takes the time to ASK ME what i need and provides expert advice! I explain my project and a worker will think of everything i could possibly need for it! Our latest project was painting our inserts and we got all our supplies and paint from here!"
