"I like the selection of tying materials and it isn’t a bad stop if you are in Des Moines already. The only cons are pretty-much everything is Orvis-related to an extent and reminds you more of an Orvis store (including vibes) compared to core fly shops in the Midwest and I’ve been to most of them. Overall, it’s still nice that there is a fly shop in Iowa."

"This is a nice little fly shop with legit gear and items you need. Kevin manages this business the right way even though it likely hits his bottom line. My story, I placed an order in Feb for some pretty price items. Supply chain being what it was I ordered early. However, like most things they took a little over 3 months to arrive. Kevin responded to my emails and let me know the timelines. He also gave me a upgrade on an item that was above and beyond what I would have expected given this issue is a global issue, not a small fly shop issue. Do not hesitate to do business here and support local bc you don’t get that service from a computer."
