"Buyer beware. The Grimes website, under menu, clearly states buy 1 super burrito, bravo, or beef and potato burrito, get another for a $1. I went to claim the deal and they said they didn't have that deal anymore. I was questioned by several employees, and even showed them their menu on my phone. Manager said it was a mistake. They did end up offering the deal, but after being interrogated, and making me feel bad about their incorrect marketing, I told them they will not get my business. Would have thought they would have proudly honored the deal when Taco Bell is across the street. Update......2/20/24....District Manager called, I was very friendly in my explanation, she was very quick to state the website states at partipating locations. But the tone in her voice was angry and defensive. Yup, culture starts at the top. We're never giving this location our business again. Shocked! A simple sorry for the confusion would have been appropriate."
"Best Taco John's & Praise to the best TJs staff! By far, my kids' favorite restaurant...and our favorite TJ's location. But what makes this Taco John's awesome is the staff! Huge respect and praise to Ms. Jenny and all the staff that always make us feel welcome. Yall are the best! The food is always made perfectly and fresh, and we only have great things to say about TJs Grimes. (Definitely fans of the meat and potato burritos (breakfast and lunch), taco bravos, & bean burritos) :) Thank you for always going the extra mile! Yall rock!"
"The best Taco John's I have been to in Des Moines. The store was clean, the service was fast, friendly, and accurate. My food was ready before I finished filling my soda. What I really liked is that this is the second time I've eaten here and both times my crispy beef tacos had a satisfying portion of taco meat in them."

"I come here all the time, I ordered on door dash today and unfortunately they forgot my nacho cheese sauce and the limes for my tacos but when I called (not to complain) just to let them know so they are more careful about it in the future the manager on duty was super amazing he was very friendly and understanding. The tacos were the best tacos I’ve had there in 2 years! Definitely want to say thank you to the manager that took my phone call tonight. Keep doing an amazing job!"
