"Do NOT, and I repeat DO NOT use Hy Vee pharmacy if you have an acute condition that requires medication. They have pretty much outsourced all of their medication fills to an off-site (3rd party?) fulfillment operation. It can take up to 5 days to get a prescription filled without direct intervention by the customer. I totally get that model for maintenance med refills but for first prescription it’s darn near malpractice. If you need a medication for something acute, make sure you call right after prescription is sent to tell them to fill in store and not send offsite. Could honestly make a huge difference in someone’s medical outcome."

"I can hardly ever get anyone on the phone, the drive up is always a long wait, and they have yet to send me a text or update in the app when a prescription is ready. I’ve been asking to get this fixed for 4 months. I gave up asking."
