"Thrifty Ice cream was yummy. If it wasn't for the ice cream I wouldn't have spent any money here. The elderly lady who works at night is rude, and insulting. She's judgemental and wrong and has no filter. She said my fiance didn't look well and if he came in to buy alcohol she wouldn't t serve him. Well first of all he doesn't drink alcohol n nor was he coming in to buy alcohol. Not that's it's any of her business she has no idea what people are going through and maybe he has health issues and wasn't feeling good. Butt she made sure I knew exactly what she was thinking. she didn't even speak to him but she def assumed he was drunk or drinking which was way out of line and so beyond not true. She should keep her nasty thoughts n comments to her self. Plus She decides when she will or won't serve you who she will or won't serve and based on how you look will she take a moment to serve you ice cream with no customer service skills whatsoever ever. Then . After getting ice cream I decided to eat it my car, instead of drive and eat it, while looking up directions to my next stop ,she cane and knocked on my window and said I could t sit in her parking lot. Meanwhile I'm literally had 2 bites of my ice cream at this point. So I'm a customer who's barely been in my car for 2 minutes, my car wasn't even on yet. But the fact the nonsense accusations and false statements and comments she makes I wouldn't deal with her again for the best ice cream in the world. Oh and the ice cream is supposed to be 24 hours, but if her order comes in at whatever time at night, then she's done with serving the ice cream until her shifts over. So who knows when that time will happen but she will decide and tell you. So yes it's 24 hours ice cream, but once her orders come in then she will no longer serve you or anyone. Unless she thinks you look a certain way ,the right way for her, then for her o take time and actually serve you !! Absolutely horrible customer service lady and appalling the way you judge people."

"Love the ice cream, love the store, everyone is friendly during the DAY. I work nights sometimes and have no choice but to fill my cravings in the middle of the night. Last night was a final straw when the elderly lady who is always in a bad mood straight up denied me and my friend service because there were 3 people in line already at the ice cream; saying no more ice cream for the rest of the night to any new groups of people, she's done. Every time coming in at night she threatens to call the police if you're there longer than 10 minutes. Too many bad encounters and I've had it with her unprofessional customer service."

"I go their for the Thrifty Ice Cream, its delicious! They use to have it in Savon drug stores, you can only find it in a couple of places. Friendly staff, got in and out quick"

"This is the rest stop to go! We stopped here for gas on our way to California. Decent gas price, the market has all your basic amenities, coffee, hot dogs, sandwiches, hot pizza, tea. Water was 6.99 for 24 bottles, bought the same water for 7.99 at Walgreens. Most importantly the man behind the counter, I'm going to assume was the owner, he was really kind. We used the washroom without any purchase and I even took hot water without any purchase. I had done my shopping from Walgreens but bought a hot dog (which was delicious). I would say, if you need a rest stop, stop here not anyway else, good quality stuff, reasonable prices and most importantly super cool and generous staff"
