The After Market

"This is the new store in the area where I live. Currently the closest grocery store is 4.3 MI away. This little grocery store is great in a pinch, however the prices are a little high. They do however have a food pantry for people that are low income or struggling or simply need some food to eat. I totally appreciate that with the aftermarket store. I have purchased potatoes there and milk and a couple of other things, but I would definitely try to make it to the grocery store for basic necessities. Again in a pinch this is a great little store if you need milk,. I love the staff here they're so friendly, and more than willing to help. Update edit: I am updating this because the last couple of times I've gone I have noticed that someone is wearing a very heavy perfume. You can definitely wear perfume but not when you work in a store, what's happening is the perfume is so strong it permeates the bread wrappers and the bread ends up tasting and smelling like perfume. I imagine it would also ferments other items in the store. And on the side note with that a lot of people have allergies and perfume can trigger migraines or rash breakouts with somebody that has lupus. Just some food for thought please."

"It was our first time coming here and definitely the last. The employees there on Sept.20,23 around 3pm were so rude and uninviting. The food on the market side was way overpriced, you can find cheaper food at Winco. We decided to do the pantry side instead and right off the bat the rude African lady who was restocking snapped at my mom for bringing the cart onto that side. We didn’t know obviously and not one person explained how things worked there. As we were grabbing the can goods the same lady just stood in our way blocking the asile. We waited a few minutes but she didn’t move nor did she even acknowledge us. They pantry side didn’t have much to offer but it was free so can’t complain about it. The only lady who was decent was the lady who was running the register on the pantry side. Overall I will not return, we were very uncomfortable here. It’s hard to believe this place is ran by Christians. I do not recommend."

"The regular market side of the store is priced higher than most stores, but they are convenient, always fully stocked, and very clean. The section for free food is great. Everything is labeled, so you know how many of an item you can get. They have a nice variety of items and all the bread you'd like. It takes just a few minutes to input your information, and then you're given a card that will be scanned on your next visit to make things go a bit faster. For free food, you get one visit per week."

"So this store has been open for almost exactly 1 week. They are still working on getting their signage in place which initially led to some confusion about where the entrance was. In the photo you can see this is actually the back side of the building not the entrance despite this being what you see when you enter from the Craig road side. To enter the building you need to drive to the other side. With that out of the way, while this is a small grocery store they do have quite a good selection. They are bringing in more food than what we saw today. I did note that the prices were a bit higher than what I'm used to at some of the bigger stores that are much further away. I think that pricing will even out as they're able to leverage their buying power after being open for a while. Additionally we did ask about EBT/SNAP payments. They are not yet set up for that but they anticipate being ready in about 2 weeks. The quality of the food is as good as anything you would find in the big stores. It's definitely worth a look. But that's not all... This store is also a pantry. On the store side you pay for everything like you would anywhere else, but on the pantry side if you show up between the hours of 10:00 and 4:00 Tuesday through Saturday, you can use your Three Square Pantry Card to get free food that is just as good as what's in the paid section. If you do not have a pantry card they will help you sign up for it and I believe you will be able to take food with you the same day that you sign up with them. While we were there the staff was very helpful and extremely friendly. We had questions about how everything works and the owner came out and spent time with us explaining what was going on and how everything worked and even helped us with our selections. I highly recommend anyone in the Paradise area near Nellis Air Force Base come in and check this grocer out."
