"I was very disappointed with my recent visit to Medical Clinic Inc. I was to be seen by Dr. Philip Kuo Sr. for my asthma. I have been an asthmatic my entire life and know very well how these appointments go. I was a new patient so I completed record release forms so that he could requests my records. I came prepared with my medication list. When he came into the room he didn't even look me in the eye. He sat down and said "what's wrong with you, why are you here? I explained that I have asthma and that my primary can fill all but one of the medications. He looked at my med list and argued with me that I was on two nasal steroids. I explained that one is an inhaler it even said inhaler and how many puffs a day to take. When I told him I was there to get Dupixent he flat out refused to prescribe it because he said it was too hard to get. I said that I would be happy to help with the enrollment and prior authorization process as I am very familiar with it. He asked me how I know so much and I explained that I work in Allergy and Immunology and he said fine. He told me I would have to redo all the tests. I explained that my records would provide me with the information that he needed and that I didn't want to repeat testing. He asked me what my dose and frequency were and when I told him he basically yelled at me that it was wrong. It is the correct dose and frequency according to the FDA. At that point I just said I don't think that this is going to be a good doctor/patient relationship if he is not familiar with the medication I need and was going to argue with me. I have never felt so ignored and disregarded from a provider before. I would not recommend him if you were looking for knowledgeable and compassionate care."
