"Patricia Bertz is very patient, caring, and detailed. She is wonderful with my daughter and intelligent. The front staff also went the extra mile for us. My only tip is to get a large sign for the front of the building as it was difficult to find."

"I called to get a new pediatrician because our pediatrician moved all the way out to Rob Drive. I have a foster daughter that has Medicaid and my birth daughter is cash pay. They said that they except Medicaid but not cash pay and I asked him the reasoning and the woman said, “ it has to do with continuity of care. If we order labs we wanna make sure that you’re able to afford the labs or specialty testing.” I explained to her how I can afford the medical care my daughter need as I get a stipend through my job. She said, “well we can’t assume that all cash pay patients can afford it.” I told her that they are assuming that all cash patients patients can’t afford it which is not very fair at all. Cash pay patients Pay better than Medicaid patients sometimes. This was disheartening and frustrating. As I’m calling around I often find facilities they don’t except Medicaid, but this is the only facility that does not accept cash pay patience. I think that it’s awful that they assume that I cannot afford care for my daughter. They are putting an additional barrier on our medical care and it’s hard enough as it is not being offered health insurance through my job."

"My family is new to the area. We recently visited Sierra Pediatrics after researching many pediatricians in Reno. We had high expectations after having wonderful pediatricians in Iowa and Idaho. We were sad to leave them behind, but I am happy to say that Dr. Frazee is even better than our last two pediatricians! I have two children, an 8-year old son and a 6-year old daughter. Both kids have now seen Dr. Frazee once each. Since it was our first visit for each kid, Dr. Frazee took a little extra time gathering info, examining the kids, and getting to know us. She had plenty of other patients to see, but she was thorough and did not act rushed with us. She was exceptional at listening and educating us. We found her to be kind, caring, and competent. Both of my kids have separate minor health issues that warrant a little further exploring/testing. Dr. Frazee showed a genuine interest in picking up where we left off in Iowa in an effort to diagnose and/or manage their ongoing symptoms. I am confident that my kids are in good hands. She is reassuring and proactive. In fact, when my daughter had her well-child exam, I mentioned a peculiar symptom that my son had. During my daughter’s appointment, Dr.Frazee scheduled an appointment for my son so that we could discuss my son’s symptoms further and she could examine him. When I returned 10 days later for my son’s appointment, Dr. Frazee shared some helpful info. Between the time we made my son’s appointment and the day he actually had his appointment, she had proactively done some additional research on particular conditions specific to my son’s symptoms so that she could provide us with better info and recommend appropriate tests. I was so impressed that she cared enough to do some additional research in prep for our appointment. Aside from all of the above, and maybe of more importance, both of my kids were at ease with Dr. Frazee. Dare I say that they enjoyed their visit with her (inspite of shots!)?!?! We are so happy to have found her. The front desk staff is also very friendly and helpful."
