"Kevin at Synergy is a truly incredible Physical Therapist. I've had back pain for many years due to a severe disc herniation which eventually required surgery. The subsequent stiffness in my spine has caused many other cascading dysfunctions from my wrists to my shoulders to my neck to my hips to my ankles to my feet. My left glute hasn't fired for seven years. I've had other practicioners say to me: "Huh, you are a really complicated case..." Over a couple years working with Kevin, I am now experiencing vastly reduced pain across all parts of my body, improved functional capacity for sports, and I think we are on the verge of eliminating the back pain entirely and returning the glute function. Literally every time I go to see Kevin, I walk out feeling better. Be advised, the primary modality Kevin uses (Counterstrain) might seem *weird*. It certainly seemed weird to me at first. He does extremely gentle manipulations of various parts of the body to get overly tight soft tissue to relax. Oftentimes he'll be able to release something e.g. in my shoulder that's been tight for years, that will cause cascading improvements in my hips, even in my calves. It's also worth noting that while Kevin mostly uses Counterstrain, he is also good at using other techniques (muscle energy technique, or exercises) to get relief. E.g. he gives extremely precise and subtle exercise cues that make a huge difference in the effectiveness of PT exercises - way better than most other PTs I've worked with. All in all - he's really amazing. Stop suffering - go see Kevin!"
