"I really hate to give bad reviews of a company, especially a locally owned one here in Truckee, but literally after two months of calls and emails trying to get a window fixed and either not having any communication or being told you are on the list, you are top priority (which is an absolute outright lie) I feel this company deserves to be called out on its horrendous customer service. As a business owner myself, I know it takes time (minutes) to say "I am too busy but here is a referral to someone else". But I do it. Not that hard. Honesty is really the best policy. This business sucks. Glad you are busy now, but if I ever need this service again in the future, I won't go to you, I'll keep my business with Capital Glass out of Reno. They answer the phone and are honest about their timing."

"We were always happy with Truckee River Glass when we used them for our 3 home builds in Truckee but after trying to get them to come out and repair broken cranks and a fogged door I soon realized that unless you are spending a lot of money, don't expect any service. I waited to write this review but after two months of getting yanked along on a chain, no shows and numerous broken promises they finally told me today: "its a small job so you keep getting shoved to the bottom of the list but you are free to call some companies in Reno". They could have just said go away 2 months ago! DISAPPOINTED customer - we always try to support local businesses and to be treated like this and then encouraged to seek help from out of town is just not right. Jon"

"Do not ever, I repeat DO NOT EVER waste your time at Truckee River Glass. I went to replace a sliding glass door for a client. After my client waited through missed appointments the door was finally delivered only to have the wrong frame. The correct frame was finally delivered and I arrived to discover the glass doors would open from the wrong side. A phone call went unanswered so I drove to the store. I was "greeted" by the most unhelpful person that I've ever come across. He first asked if I had contacted the manufacturer and I indicated my client purchased the slider from him. He accusingly pointed out the door matched the order as though it were my clients fault. I pointed out they had come to the site to measure. He then grudgingly said he would send someone out when he had a chance. I asked for a window of time and was told sometime between now and next week. We'll see what happens but I'm not optimistic."

"This company is very unresponsive. After two calls to request a quote, I went to a competitor. First call I was told someone would be out in a week, and after calling back 8 days later, I was told they did not know when they could come out. Acted as if I was wasting their time! Must not need anymore biz!!"
