"Update 3-4-24: Silver Springs post office has definitely improved. I have never had my call go unanswered, they have very kind staff and are communicative with each other. Im guessing at the time of my last review in the summer of 2023 there was a staff shortage. We are going to get a P.O. Box here again, too. Ps if you are like me and have a hard time getting to the post office in time for important mail, you can opt in for mail to be scanned and reviewed digitally if you have a P.O. Box I believe. This is a service that has been offered by other companies for many years, so I am glad the post office is finally getting on board! Old review: We moved our PO box to Yerington to get better service .... unfortunately, we still have some shipments that come in for livestock ... i am unable to go to the post office during business hours and so I often call but no one picks up the phone. Recently, I've had shipments coming in and the only way to notify the post office to set aside the fertile eggs is to call. Since no one picks up my husband has to be late for work so I can pick up the fertile egg as soon as I get the notification they arrived at the post office. (we only have one vehicle) This causes a lot of inconvenience for me and my husband and is stressful for the fertile eggs / chicks that come in and have to be picked up."
"Have been receiving mail @ my P.O. Box for approximately 25 years. Because the box number was missing one number my mail was sent back, not once but twice. It's not as if the post office doesn't know who we are, they just don't seem to care. Really pathetic!"
"Office is always polite however I am not getting my mail. I start work before they open and get off of work after there closed. I keep getting red tags saying they have my mail but I want to eat and keep my home I am never able to go in person. This is really counter productive and is destroying my life, the last thing sent back was my title from the DMV. I am literally being forced to choose food and shelter or mail."
"Darcy, went out of her way after my mail was placed in someone else's box to meet me at the mailbox and found my three packages. She was determined and I'm thankful for the hard service the Post Office is providing."
