"In November of 2019 Ryan Dobbs replaced my left shoulder. His PA (a hare-brained woman) discharged me the next day. I knew it was not right. I went to the Emergency Department 16 hours after discharge and stayed 3 days. I kept seeing him about the pain and he took the same X-rays and told me it looked fine. Finally I saw Dr. Thomas Christianson. He ordered one set of films and showed me that the screws had come out. My son worked in Central Processing at the South Reno facility. He said they were out of the longer screws they usually use for Shoulder Replacements so Dobbs used the shorter ones. In February Dr. Thomas Christianson fixed it. I have total admiration for him. In July 2023 he successfully replaced my right shoulder. My advice to other patients is to totally avoid Ryan Dobbs."
"Horrible experience on multiple occasions. Their customer service is terrible -it took threats of me walking in and creating a scene before they'd see me after my surgery because I was concerned about an infection. They NEVER call back (the doc's staff or the billing managers). My wound was painful, dark red oozing puss and the pin was pushing itself out of my skin. That got pulled out with pliers in about five minutes and I got a bill for thousands for that "service". After multiple rounds of different antibiotics over a period of months they figured out it was MRSA and had to schedule another surgery to scrape it out and find the stiches they left in. My finger is works worse than when I went in, they charged me $5k (after insurance), and I was out of work for weeks. I was discussing with friends recently at a bbq and two of them told similar stories. So frustrating."
