"I appreciate everything Dr Watson and his team did for me this year. 2023 has been a challenging year, having to deal with a consistent infection of my right tonsil. Dr Watson was extremely accommodating, fitting me into his already busy schedule, and saving me multiple visits to the ER. My tonsillectomy surgery was scheduled as soon as possible given the number of infections I had suffered from. Dr Watson was very informative, and described in great detail what I should expect when recovering from the operation. He was responsive and available post operation and checked in with me regularly. "Dr. Watson is hands down the best healthcare provider I’ve had the pleasure of working with. From the initial consult throughout all of my post-op care, Dr. Watson provided a remarkable level of compassion and care, in addition to his exceptional surgical skills and expertise. Pre-Surgery: Dr. Watson examined my nose and recommended a septoplasty with turbinate reduction. He took a LOT of time to explain what that meant in detail to me, and answered all of my questions honestly and thoroughly. I felt confident in his expertise, and was also comforted by his clear and genuine care. Day of Surgery: I was super nervous for surgery, but Dr. Watson and his team again explained everything to me, which helped me relax and understand what was happening each step of the way. He also stayed in contact with my partner, and made himself available by giving me his phone number in case of any issue or emergency. The procedure went well, and everyone at Tahoe Forest did a great job. Response to Complications: I ended up having some complications and Dr. Watson was able to walk both me and my partner through what to do, and he even came to the emergency room to check on me and assist the doctor. I was really scared throughout that situation and he did such a good job calming me down, in addition to fixing the actual issue (which, to be fair, was not due to surgery or Dr. Watson's impeccable work, but the result of me thinking I could get away with lightly blowing my nose despite being warned not to). Post-Op Care: I was provided with clear recovery instructions, as was my partner who was taking care of me, and we both felt supported every step of the way. I am a very high anxiety patient and had a lot of questions, but I always felt like Dr. Watson was truly happy to spend some extra time with me to make sure I felt like I had all the information I needed. Additionally, the incision is virtually invisible at only 4 months post-op now, and everything has healed exceptionally well despite the early complications. I honestly wish Dr. Watson was available as a primary care provider because he is just so great to work with, but I am so grateful he was my ENT and surgeon. His clinical abilities are outstanding, but Tahoe Forest is also lucky to have such a remarkable human on their team!"
