"10-27-2020. I was just quoted $1000 dollars from Renown for a routine mammogram!! I had to have the gal I was speaking to repeat the estimate because I was shocked and just knew that had to be an incorrect amount. She said her boss told her that was the price. I don’t have insurance and informed her of that. No matter, still $1000!!! I actually laughed. I told her they need to check into that cost because Northern Nevada Medical gave me a price of $324 dollars for not only a mammogram but an ultrasound as well, including the readings of both. And that I have never paid more than $200 for routine mammograms since 2009. There is something seriously wrong with Renown if they are truly charging the uninsured that much. Why would there be such a substantial difference in the cost? Naturally that question could not be answered. I’ve always had my mammograms done through NNMC but thought I would give Renown an opportunity.....to rip me off!!!"
"At first, I'd want to give them no stars. The fear I get and flack that I get because I have a doctor's note to not wear a mask is horrible. The worst places seem to be other medical providers. Even when I tell them why, no feeling, no care, no compassion. Just get out. But this place worked with me. The supervisor was great. But even better was Lea, who was my tech. I hope I got her name right. She was amazing. She just had a baby a few months ago. She wasn't afraid of me. She was kind, compassionate and helpful. She made me feel human. Best feeling! Thank you!"
