"Just returned from our first visit to Spirit Lake/Lake Okoboji and had a wonderful time. We arrived around noon and Sunny met us at the front desk. Even though it was well before the 3p check in time, he allowed us to check in early. Our rooms were comfortable complete with fridges and microwaves. Also, our rooms were set back from the road and were very quiet. Sunny was very accommodating when we needed extra toiletries. He was very solicitous and asked us how we were and if we needed anything whenever we saw him. We felt completely welcomed by him. Coming from Houston's 100+ degree temps, we enjoyed the cool summer breeze on the front patio. We're already looking forward to returning next summer and will definitely stay here again. We visited some nearby restaurants (Breakfast Barn and Hibachi 88) that were fantastic and within walking distance. Easy access and minutes away from the lakes and action."

"Don't let the outside or the location fool you, the rooms are actually very clean and nice. The beds were very comfortable and I slept well. Not much in extra amenities, but if your in Okoboji you usually aren't there to sit the whole day in your hotel room. The hotel is about a 8 minute drive from Arnold's Park and other Boji attractions but you don't the high rates as would if you stayed in the middle of it all. I would stay here again."

"Staff is EXTREMELY friendly and amazing people in general. Our stay was quiet and breakfast was super nice to have. Housekeeping comes around 10am which is great since we woke 2 hours prior. Nearby restaurants for quick dining along with being in the middle of Spirit Lake, getting to local landmarks was no time at all! Rooms are clean upon arrival and beds are comfortable. Would stay here again!"

"It was really cute place the staff was incredibly friendly!! The hotel is a little old and worn but it is still pretty charming and well cared for. Breakfast is small but quick and convenient. If you are looking for a last minute place to stay this is perfect place to go! It’s not super fancy but was still a nice stay."
