"“Compton in Chan” Employees make gun threats Unreal level of poor service and disrespect; have to post. Have stayed at this place many times in their king bath suite and although other reviews say it’s dirty i found the rooms nice and hot tub is great when it is working. Called the hotel desk last night to ask what rooms they had available and was excited. Employee yelled at me that she was by herself and hung up. Called few min later again with similar reaction but got transferred to “reservations” no one answered after 5 min or so. Booked the room I love on hopper app, got to front desk and told employee I thought we talked earlier and was sorry she had to work alone (trying to empathize and be nice) She said she not alone and started talking about brandishing guns, was weird but ok I’m an old man in Chanhassen was trying to get away from my loser parents a bit. Gave me the worst room that wasn’t even clean, I showed her my booking and was very polite and asked to help resolve. Was willing to pay more and happy to upgrade (even though my booking showed the room I was used to). Lady started acting violent again, never felt so disrespected; treated like I’m some hit man from her opps. Avoid this place at all costs this is Chanhassen not Compton you will get Compton treatment here."

"We went for our yearly trip to the Ren fest and overall appearance I was impressed by the hotel and the breakfast was wonderful. Bad part was the foldout bed/couch had stains and the sheets on that mattress seemed dirty. Fwd to a few weeks post trip, my kids and I are starting to get horrible welted bites everywhere. We were shocked to find out that we had bedbugs follow us home. This was the very disappointing part of our fun trip. I've been at my wits end getting them cleared out of our home now."

"Rented a suite for an overnight stay. We're here for a wedding. First the good points. Fairly large 2 room suite. Very comfortable king size bed. Unfortunately this place is not up to standards I've come to expect from Country Inns. The room decor is clearly dated. The carpet is shabby and worn. It doesn't seem that the carpet was vacuumed before we checked into the room. The living room couch is stained and dirty. One of the lampshades was damaged and taped back together. The bedroom phone didn't work. The curtains are off track and the blackout shades have holes in them. The wood furniture is chipped and worn. There are holes in the bathroom walls plugged with what looks caulk. Just a general lack of attention to detail. It's a shame. With a refresh and deep cleaning this could be a much more pleasant room."

"Overall everything was great! The staff was excellent and very helpful. I checked in when there was a dance competition and wedding party there as well, so it was a little busy. The room was clean, they are a little outdated compared to some hotels but it was quite nice. The only complaint was the shower ceiling had a little mold on it. The pool was nice and so was the hot tub. Towels were gone but we made it work! (Again, busy so not complaining at all in this one!) I would definitely come back here and appreciate the fast service and friendly staff."
