Motel 6 Texarkana TX

"WORST place I've EVER stayed. Pictures Show how Filthy & Fire Hazard this is. Floors only quick go over with Just Water. Mini Fridge Freezer Wasn't CLEANED!!! Remote Control didn't work. Smoke Detector Needed Batteries. Mouse kept coming in from hole in corner of floor. People living here, seem to be Drug Addicts. Bedding was Filthy. Cigarette burns and Stained Sheets & Pillow cases. VERY UNSAFE UNSANITARY. NEVA GO HERE AGAIN."

"The rooms had a weird smell to them as soon as we walked through the doors. There were old cigarettes burns on some of the sheets and on the furniture. The walls were dirty. There was dirt left on the floor from whom ever stayed in there before us. With the doors closed, the door didn't completely meet the door frame and didn't make contact to the bottom of the doorway. This lead to a lot of the cold air and bugs to come into the room throughout the night. It was nice to be able to get some rest before heading out on the road again, but definitely not a great experience at all. Also noticed that the person who is hired to clean the rooms had to use a shopping cart to carry linen and cleaning supplies. That is just ridiculous. The owner should be providing proper tools and supplies for their employees. On top of that, the owner should be making repairs to the rooms as well. The only positive is that they allow pets."

"We were there for three nights, the television only showed red lines, the shower was either scalding hot or freezing cold no in between temperature, the door was broken, and several other minor problems with the room. I reported this to the front desk several times, but nothing was ever done. The first price was a good price when I extended an extra day it was almost double. Over all if the things in the room were repaired, I would recommend. But the pricing should not be that way, it should have stayed the same per night."

"My room was clean. Customer service was excellent. I forgot to put my do not disturb sign on and the house keeper that day came and cleaned my room. She told me that she would come back and bring me towels. This lady was responsible for cleaning most of the rooms that day. I saw her work really hard. Before she left she came back and brought me the towels she had promised me. I will say that the room smelled like cigarettes and I am a nonsmoker. But because I saw how hard this lady worked I decided that it wasn’t her fault that the room smelled like cigarettes."

"I've stayed at Motel 6's several times, and it's always been fine. But my room at this location was pretty awful. The room smelled of stale cigarette smoke (causing my luggage to as well). The vents on the air conditioner/heater and bathroom unit were covered in dust. The electrical outlet by the sink was broken. The light in the shower didn't work. The toilet was very stained. The bed was lumpy and squeaky. The pillows were thin and lumpy (one of them felt like half the stuffing had been removed). The bath towel was permanently stained with black smudges. The curtain was hanging on by every other hook. And the desk clerk seemed bored and very unhappy to be there. While the location was great, and the price couldn't be beat, I wished I'd spent an extra $10 and stayed somewhere else."
