"Hiked all the way to the other end and loved every minute of it. Took just several hours but was breathtaking because of the formations coming up out of the ground in the riverbed being red then turning to purple and back to pink."
"I took a hike up the backside of Brown Mountain from this location. The trailhead is at the back of the parking area near a picnic table. Not clearly marked. I didn't see it so I cut across the wash until I met the trail. I stayed to the right and followed the sign for Gilbert Ray campground. Beautiful day with snow on the surrounding mountains from yesterday's wacky winter weather. Incredible views!!"
"Excellent picnic area. clean restrooms, tables, grills, and trails all over this area and a stones throw to the desert museum voted one of the best in North America it's well worth the visit"
