Saguaro National Park East Side

Saguaro National Park East Side, located in Tucson, Arizona, is home to the nation's largest cacti, the giant saguaro. These iconic plants are a symbol of the American west and can only be found in a small portion of the United States. "Beautiful Arizona scenery on an 8 mile one way paved road. Cordially share the road with bicyclists, many pulloffs along the way to take photos of the mntns and cactus. A little confusing to find but worth the patience looking. Look up the exact address and enter into map program. We have visited the west park many times but glad we finally tried the East Tucson Park."

"This was a great Christmas outing. We went there for a family drive and to learn about the Saguaros. The lookout points were nice photo ops, and the short educational walks with info boards were nice. My son learned of the Cholla cactus and how the ends hook into your hand. I shared a story of being a little girl trying to put a fallen piece of cactus back with the mama cactus and could not get the cactus off of my hand. My son found a little fallen piece to see if it was true. Yes, indeed. This is a nice place to learn about desert plants and wildlife."

"Really enjoyed the hike my mom and i did. Got there about 715am and the weather was perfect. Alot of nature and amazing saguaros. Cant wait to go back to cross some more trails off the list. There was one really cool saguaro that was fanned out at the top. I believe it was somewhere on the pen squeeze trail."
