"My mother had an appointment today with Dr. Wendt. I was unimpressed. He has this script he goes through while throwing tons of information at you without allowing you to ask any questions until the very end. I attempted to ask a question or two and quickly noticed he’d just continue to talk over me. Maybe he was in fear that we’d mess up his “script”. I really don’t know. My mom knows she has cancer and isn’t afraid. We went in optimistic. However, I felt as if he was trying to instill fear in my mothers heart. I made a comment about something (i can’t recall exactly what it was now) and he came back with the response “Well you could be a patient”. What kind of health care practitioner says something like this to someone? I wouldn’t wish cancer on anyone. He’s not very sincere. He went on to refer to my mom as a practicalist (as if it’s a bad thing) when she spoke her mind on the different treatment options out there. I don’t think he’s used to dealing with opinionated patients. When you go to a specialty doctor, you expect them to give you advice and recommendations. For example, you should hear something along the lines of “you have this type of cancer, we recommend this type of treatment.” Instead, Dr. Wendt says he’ll give you your options and let you make your decision with a yes or no. The end. That’s it. No personal recommendations on what he sees fit for her specifically. Seems as if he isn’t willing to offer his input or recommendation. I expect advice from doctors like this. There are better oncologists out there."

"I wanted to go back Dr wendt but his office called and the woman was very rude and asked why I left him. I told her i moved and now closer to his office. I decided to stay with my oncologist in Paradise Valley. She wasnt very nice at all. She lacks professionalism and seems she doesn't like her job."
