"My wife and I just finished our first session with Paul, and unfortunately it seems that his style of coaching is more like listening to a one-way podcast than engaging with a coach that is sincerely working towards helping address the challenges a couple is facing. By the end of our session, my wife and I agreed that we spent 1.5 hrs learning more about him and his wife Judy than he took the time to learn about us and where we are looking for guidance. We also found it frustrating that in moments where we were trying to practice what he was saying, he constantly interjected to the point where we were not able to gather our thoughts. For example, at one point I kindly tried to tell him that I would appreciate him giving us a moment to practice without his immediate interjections before we could finish a train of thought, as my ADD was making his approach challenging. Instead of him responding with "yes, and..." (which is what he is teaching), he chose to lecture me about what ADD is. The largest benefit we gained as a couple from our experience was bonding over how frustrating or session was."
