About the Business

Quail Creek State Park

Quail Creek State Park, located at 472 5300 West, Hurricane, Utah, United States, is a popular tourist attraction and park known for its warm waters and mild winter climate. Boaters and anglers are drawn to the park year-round to enjoy activities such as camping, hiking, and exploring. The park enforces Stage 1 Fire Restrictions, prohibiting open fires except within designated areas. Construction on the road accessing the park will take place from Fall/Winter 2023 through Summer 2024, but the park will remain open. A day-use fee will be enforced at the DWR Field Office/South Overlook parking lot starting May 1, 2023. The reservoir at Quail Creek was completed in 1985 to provide water to the St. George area, with most of the water coming from the Virgin River. The reservoir is home to a variety of fish species, including rainbow trout, bullhead catfish, and largemouth bass. Visitors can also enjoy rentals and food at the park's facilities. #FireSense makes sense at Quail Creek State Park.

"Pretty little state park tucked away near Hurricane, UT. Great campgrounds. The new campground is spacious and the showers are brand new. Love the support staff- from the folks in the booth to the maintenance staff- the park manager, Ranger and volunteer crew.. fantastic people. Full of local info and insights. These folks really love this place and it shows!"

"Incredible place to paddle, picnic, camp, and explore! You can rent kayaks a good portion of the year right there. There’s lots of activities happening in the summer months it seems. Water is always beautiful and park is very well taken care of. Definitely worth the stop!"

"We tried #16 in our 32 foot RV but the slope was unacceptable. We moved to straddle a hump on site #8. Bring plenty of leveling equipment, extra hose and power extensions. Most hook ups were on the wrong side and inaccessible locations. Nice view."
