"This is a beautiful place to hike with great views and easy access from public transit. I saw a coyote and a hare!"

"This park was too small for my liking. I parked along the street and crossed the fence to see the park. There was a straight sandy trail that followed the canal/water. The flowing water was nice and relaxing, and it was scenic to see the tress alongside the water. Other than that there wasn't much to see. It became a bit repetitive, and so I turned back. Plus, on my left, I could still see/hear the highway and passing of cars. Edit: I did finally walk a bit farther and was not too pleased. There was trash scattered about the trail and in the water, and spotted a shopping cart in the water as well. Also, the highway is right next to the trail on the second half, so it's very noisy. This park does connect with other trails in the Papago Park, so if you are looking to elongate the hike, there's a section in the Canal trail (first half of the trail) where you can cross the bridge and then keep on walking straight to access the Papago Park trails."

"I went to this park to take some pictures of the 4th of July firework show that is put on by the City of Tempe. They shoot them from the Mill street bridge and you get a great view. However, I would arrive early because it can get crowded."

"Went for a short walk & jog around the perimeter near the highway and thoughout some of the trails. This is a great spot for medium-easy level mtn biking trails and fun for a casual walk as well."

"This is a really nice spot for a trail run with some hills. We parked on the North side of Tempe town lake so I could get a trail run in and my wife could run around the lake."
