Vintage at Canyonlands

"this is the hundredth time the internet has gone out. and not for just a couple hours ALL DAY with no serious effort to get it back on. Just a text saying, we hope it comes back on hehehe! This happens at least twice a month, and with everyone here being students, internet is kind of important. With what i pay in rent, reliable internet should be no biggie. But with the issue of it going out constantly for months now, serious efforts need to go into getting it fixed. I’m losing my mind. Not to mention this place has terrible management that loses mail and is unprofessional, quite frankly rude, and extremely uncommunicative (ive had men come into the apartments without notice to fix the windows, and walk in on me in a towel about to change). Completely ridiculous at this point cancel my lease and let me live elsewhere."

"The place was left dusty and unclean with paint splotches on the ground and a broken refrigerator door. I recommend getting extra storage space because the amount you have to share with 5 other people is really small. Otherwise, the experience has been pretty good. Kitchen is easy to use when cooking and there’s a sitting room when you walk in. The only downside is that you have to pay and use the communal laundry rooms which aren’t cleaned very well. Overall, I think this is a suitable place to live for my first time living away from home."

"There’s never parking, and you have to pay monthly for a parking pass. They have laundry machines, but you have to pay to use them. And you’ll probably ruin some clothes because of leftover bleach in the machines. The showers are inconsistent with warm water, and the sinks only have 2 options: Super hot or super cold. The stove tops will probably burn your food no matter what, even at the lowest setting. They also advertise their “monthly payment fee” at a super low cost, but they pile up as much alternative fees to make up for it. The lock system for the apartments also makes no sense. They have a lock button on the outside of the door so if someone knows your apartment passcode they’re definitely getting in whether you lock the door or not. Overall, I’ve been very displeased with Canyonlands. I’d recommend looking somewhere else."

"So far these apartments are super nice and clean. They care about their residents and are willing to work with you if you’re having any trouble. Maintenance is super friendly and extremely fast at getting things fixed. The office staff are super friendly and funny. They make sure that you have everything you need throughout your lease."

"Run as fast away from this dump as you can. When we showed up it was a disgusting mess. We cleaned for 5 hours and made them throw away the couch. The dishwasher didn’t work. The sinks were clogged. Toilet seat was broken and laying on the ground. If we wouldn’t have cleaned they would have been happy to let our girls move in and live in filth. We signed the lease and there was no way they would let us out of it. They didn’t keep one part of the contract. I signed papers stating I would get my deposit back in 30 days, and 60 days later I finally got it. The A/C didn’t cool the place down and the walls and floor leaked when it rained. When we called and complained they told us they were short handed and the building was just old. We ended up moving our daughter to vintage at tabernacle. It was a private room for $40 more a month. The utilities were $25 per month. Canyonlands charged $85 for utilities and it was also a shared room.(do the math that’s over $400 per month for the apartment) there’s no way that apartment would cost that much for utilities. There are plenty of other places to rent, don’t waste your time here."
