"I chose this office because it was the first one in network for our insurance. I called in the beginning of February and stated I needed to make an appointment for my 2 year old son for a hearing test for developmental preschool and it needed to be done by March 15th. I explained to the receptionist he has autism but does really well for ear exams and sat perfectly still for a hearing test through the school district. The only problem was the school districts equipment wasn't working, which is why I was scheduling this appointment. I waited a little over a month for my appointment and when checking in, I noticed they made the appointment under my husband's name, and almost all of the contact info had at least 1 mistake. Once in the room, I explained to Dr Bassett why we were there and got a very judgmental look. He did a 30 second ear exam and pulled a wax ball out of my son's ear. He then proceeded to tell me he doesn't do hearing tests on children with developmental disabilities. I asked if he could at least try since my son did really well for the ear exam and sat for 10 minutes with ear plugs in his ears when the school district attempted a hearing test. He still refused and told me he was going to refer us to PCH. The "referral" was a joke. I was handed a printout of a Google search for PCH with a generic phone number. Thankfully, his pediatrician was able to accommodate us and performed a hearing test with no issues."

"My appt. With Dr. Bassett was great! Dr Bassett was friendly, professional, humorous, and gave me a clear understanding of everything he was doing. It was a very pleasant surprise. Thank you, Dr Bassett R lustbader"

"First and last time seeing Mr. Bassett. He was rude, cruel, arrogant, insulting, unprofessional I've been to other ENTs and they were professional. He didn't do a full exam, looked in one ear, kept questioning me about being vaccinated, told me I have bad luck as he was sticking cotton swabs up a nostril then numbed my nostril I think and looked for a vessel to cauterize. Now my nose is in as much pain as before. The office people were friendly but he is weird, although he said I had skin cancer on my face... He told me my nostril would be draining all day today. Nothing. But my nose hurts bad inside and it didn't when I went in but was very pluggef he told me nothings wrong. So I still got a nose bleed again in the evening after the cauterization and I can't breathe out of nose. One star was too much. I was so upset after leaving the office I had to call a dear friend to talk with me."

"I can't say enough good things about the staff of the Sun City office. My mother suffered sudden vision loss and a neighbor tried to help her put new batteries in her hearing aids and ended up damaging them. This left my mother unable to see and hear. As soon as I got to town I took them in for repair. It was just before Thanksgiving. The staff rushed the hearing aids out to make the last UPS pickup before the holiday. The staff contacted us as soon as they came in after being repaired off-site and they shared in my mother's joy and relief when she put them in and was no longer cut off from the world. I am very grateful for their efforts to help my mom."

"I will start by saying that the office staff is very friendly and helpful. I am sure that there are other providers at this office that are kind and helpful as well. My experience with Dr. Basset was less than favorable, however. From the moment he walked in the room he was he was completely condescending. Instead of listening to my concerns, he was rude and patronized me about every symptom I was explaining to him. He even had the nerve to question my diagnosis that I am being treated by Rheumatology for. I honestly should have just walked out, as I almost burst into tears during the questioning. He did tone it down after he could probably see me about to cry but it still doesn’t make up for that treatment. My advice to you at AZ ENT and Dr. Bassett; people are coming to you for help and answers. Don’t let your ego get in the way of being sensitive to people’s experiences. You have no idea what it’s like to be living in their shoes. Az ENT, I give 5 starts, Dr. Basset 1. I will average it out to 3 because I don’t fault the office as a whole for this one physician’s behavior."
