"My mom was seeing Makeda for awhile while recovering from a hip replacement and stroke and the PT seemed good at first - she made progress. However, some time later she fractured her ankle, but when she went to her sessions (before she found out about the fracture) and complained about the pain (she was in A LOT of pain), she was advised to "power through it". I don't think the PT even caused the fracture, but when you're relying on an expert to help you make progress and understand the things you don't about a recovering body, I expect them to listen and be trained enough to advise their clients about good pain and bad pain, and when to see a doctor. It was a massage therapist who eventually said, "you shouldn't be in this much pain, you have to see a doctor before getting treatment"."
