"I've seen Sandi one to three times a week for almost 7 years. I am not an easy client; I require intense amounts of time and effort to stay regulated. In these 7 years, she has gone above and beyond to help me live a happy, fulfilled life. Sandi's always treated me with respect, kindness, and curiosity. She's never turned away from me in a time of need, even when I've been super unregulated or unable to cope with my emotions in a healthy way- she never makes me feel like a mess. I can be my complete self with Sandi because she accepts every single Part that makes me who I am. I’ve done mostly individual therapy with Sandi, but have also had *many* couples and family sessions as well. I’ve even taken friends and coworkers to a session when we’ve had conflicts. Every time, Sandi helped all parties feel heard & validated. And every time, the person I brought with me was impressed by Sandi’s ability to guide us through clear communication. I’ve worked with Sandi one-on-one, and in sessions with one of her interns. When Sandi speaks to a therapist she is teaching, it’s with a high level of kindness, support, and respect. I’ve never seen her talk down, or speak harshly, to her interns or colleagues- nor can I imagine her doing so. Sandi is the most stable, safe, healthy adult I've ever known in my entire life, and I feel so blessed to have found her. She's been a loving example of a healthy mother figure, and she's been the strong professional cheerleader that I needed so badly. As a therapist, Sandi is a wealth of knowledge. She's able to explain things in a clear way, and if she doesn't have the answer for something- I know she'll find it. She is VERY relatable as a person, so I never feel less-than around her. She's also very genuine, like what you see is what you get. And the way she communicates with me is always empathetic. I know the time, effort, and care Sandi gives me is nowhere ~near~ in conjunction with the payment she receives. She cares about me as a human being, not just a client. It's sorta cheesy but Sandi's been my lighthouse, always guiding me back to shore. I love her very much. I did the work but Sandi gave me the tools."

"I went to Sandi Burningham about 5 years ago. She knew I had struggled with an ED (Anorexia) throughout my teen and young adult years. My last session with her was when she told me (with a look of disgust) that I needed to find a personal trainer that could help me figure out how to fix my "disproportionate body". She then went on to tell me about how she took some pill (made for diabetics) and was losing weight and I should look into it myself. I wasn't at all overweight, I'm apple shaped where I distribute most of my weight in my upper torso. There's literally NOTHING I can do to change that. I couldn't believe that a therapist who was treating me for an EATING DISORDER would make such comments. I never went back to her again. My ED flared up after this incident and I had to be hospitalized at one point. I lost even more respect for Sandi after I called her a few months later to ask her about a billing question, before I could finish speaking she tells me her practice was closed to taking anymore clients so she couldn't see me again. It said on her profile and currently says she's still taking new clients so I knew that wasn't true. I figured she was ashamed for having been so unprofessional to me with her body insults and she knew she'd crossed a line. Or maybe she was offended that I'd canceled my previous appointments and had ended therapy with her. Anyway, I found her insults and dishonesty to be a disturbing way for a therapist to behave. I regret having ever seen this woman. When you have to find a therapist to help you recover from traumatic events stemming from a former therapist, you know that former therapist wasn't a good one. I hope for the sake of her current clients she's gotten better over the years. But I wouldn't recommend her."
