"The stay hereveas related to a review of their time-share like offerings. This was not high pressure. Staff was very accommodating. Facilities were excellent, both gym and rooms. Views on golf course was fine. Walk to fashion mall area was pleasant as was any amenities at the adjacent Westin. In sum, an excellent stay."

"Last October, I redeemed my Marriott Vacation Club points for one night stay at this villa. There are a lot of shopping, dining and entertainment around the villa, very convenient location. However, the Operations and Management has a lot to improve. One the day of our checkout, we came back to our room from breakfast to find 5-6 guys in our room installing new TVs. We did not receive any notice of such event, not to mention this was a total invasion of our privacy. We also did not understand why they would not wait until we checked out of the room. There were other guests who got woken up from this TV installation. I don't want to speculate how the villa managed to screw up the TV installation with guests still in the rooms. After my complaint, I was told that my vacation club points would be credited back to compensate for the inconvenience. However, after four months and several phone call and messages, I have not received any callback nor the credit. Again, I am very disappointed at the management operations at this vacation villa, and the Westin/Marriott Vacation Club brand."

"Our check-in was totally disappointing! We arrived at 4:30 pm, only to be told by a twenty-something, we were late checking in. Our flight had just arrived, an hour ago. We were hoping our reservation, would provide a nice, golf course view, but were told, those are booked months in advance! Our view overlooked the kiddie pool. We did finally find good customer service in the pub/restaurant, our waitress, Tiffany, was totally professional! She was appalled, after hearing about our encounter at the reservation desk."

"Indeed a very beautiful resort. Came here for staycation with their timeshare package. Timeshare alone is a great deal, good 1B1B villa with balcony and view of the beautiful golf course. Heard the sales presentation will be high pressure 2 hrs - will see how it goes…"

"We took advantage of the Westin promotion, staying here for 4 nights at $300 (plus $150 extra for staying near major holidays). Here's our review: The place is very nice, clean and meticulously maintained. Despite booking the smaller room under the promotion, we were upgraded to a spacious "villa" with a bedroom, living room (with a pull-out sofa), full kitchen, whirlpool, double sink, separate restroom and shower, and balcony with seating area. The kitchen was fully stocked, and any missing items could be easily requested. The amenities were good, including adult-only and general pools with a small slide, a well-equipped gym, dry and wet saunas, and a market for basic needs. Free parking was a plus, and there were plenty of nearby restaurants, although Scottsdale is known for its high prices. The villas, which are essentially one-bedroom apartments, offer beautiful views of the golf course and access to the next door Westin Kierland Resort and Spa amenities, including a lazy river, beautiful pool, small slide, separate adult pool, and wave pool for surfing. We tried the breakfast buffet at Faro and Brag, which was enjoyable (at $17 per kid and $34 per adult), and received a 20% discount on paid amenities at both locations. Overall, we loved our stay, although we didn't experience much service at our location due to its basic nature. However, we would never consider paying the full price of $1,100 per night. The prices seem inflated, likely to support their time share (or point system) sales pitch. The amenities don't justify such a high cost, especially considering food isn't included, and the pools at the villas are basic. If I had to rate this hotel based on it's full price, I would give it two stars. As for the sales pitch, it exceeded the promised duration, lasting over two hours. The aggressive techniques employed were off-putting; it's ironic that the harder they pushed, the less inclined we felt to buy. A truly great product shouldn't require such forceful sales tactics. Our salesperson, Robert, came off as quite arrogant. He attempted to poke fun at the idea of siblings of different genders sharing a bed, insinuating we needed more space and extra bedrooms. He also tried to convince us to separate our kids, who enjoy being together, into different rooms. However, they have separate rooms at home and prefer to be together during vacations. Along with these tactics, there were various other aggressive sales techniques that made me skeptical rather than inclined to make a purchase, especially from someone like him. Then, they brought in another aggressive closer, but the outcome was no different from the first encounter. People who are stable financially aren't swayed by artificial urgency tactics like "buy today for extra bonuses." Next, they took us to another room for a "survey" which offered a return visit for $800 to the same location ($695 plus $99 down) within 18 months, or $1300 for other Westin locations, both for a 4-night stay. However, this would entail enduring another two-hour presentation."
