About the Business

Gene C. Reid Park

Gene C. Reid Park, located at 900 South Randolph Way in Tucson, Arizona, is a sprawling 156.2-acre metro park in Ward 6. The park offers a variety of amenities and attractions, including the Georges DeMeester Outdoor Performance Center, the Cele Peterson Rose Garden, Hi Corbett Field, and Miko's Corner Playground Dog Park.

The park is currently undergoing a master planning process to enhance and improve its facilities while preserving its natural beauty. The City of Tucson is seeking input from the community to help shape the future of Gene C. Reid Park. Visitors are encouraged to participate in a survey to share their favorite spots in the park, parking preferences, and ideas for future programming.

Miko's Corner Playground Dog Park, named in honor of a TPD police dog, features separate areas for large and small dogs, dog-friendly water fountains, and a shaded ramada with tables. Smoking is not allowed in the dog park to ensure a healthy environment for pets and their owners.

The Cele Peterson Rose Garden is currently undergoing a restoration project to bring back its historical charm. The multi-phased project is expected to be completed over the next few years, allowing for sustainable renovations that will benefit the community for years to come.

Hi Corbett Field, originally built in 1927, has a rich history as a baseball park. The field has also hosted other baseball events and leagues, making it a beloved sports destination in Tucson.

Gene C. Reid Park is a hub for outdoor activities and community engagement. The Park Rx program promotes healthy living by encouraging residents to use the park for exercise and recreation. With its diverse amenities and beautiful surroundings, Gene C. Reid Park is a cherished green space in Tucson for all to enjoy.

"I was in from out of town, and a friend recommended visiting the zoo. 100%, 10 out of 10 would recommend this place. It's not the biggest zoo I've visited, but it has some of the best, and well thought out habitats that I've seen. The elephant enclosure is amazing!"

"Large park with waterfalls. Large duck ponds. Sidewalks are large and go around the entire park. Wonderful place for a picnic."

"Such a cute little zoo! The staff are super friendly and even on the weekend when it's busy there's still enough room for everyone. I love how the exhibits are set up. The landscaping is beautiful and there's always something to see."
