"Had a nice time staying at the Copper Queen hotel. Had a very nice room, (John Wayne room), fairly clean under the circumstances of being so old. Had minor issues that was not a deal breaker, tub wouldn’t drain correctly, parking was bad, especially late at night, due to several hotels all sharing one parking lot. We had to park about 1 1/2 football fields away from the hotel. Staff was semi-friendly. Had to wait for 10 minutes for someone to show up at the front desk, and when they arrived acted standoff-ish but did allow us to check in 1 hour early. One of the staffers said we couldn’t check in until 3 pm, and walked away, telling us to wait for the front desk person. Which was understandable, but he was kinda annoyed when I asked. The hotel is supposed to be haunted, but did not experience anything out of the ordinary. Great atmosphere for being such an old hotel, takes you back in time, which is what we wanted. Overall, I would have given 5 stars, but they need to improve on service and friendliness especially when they depend on customers for survival."

"There is definitely a lot of ghost activity in this place room 302. I even considered sleeping in my car after experiencing a ghost sitting on the edge of the bed. Ghost rolling on my back getting off the bed, the sound of a kid crying, and a ghost whistling on my ear. This place is like stepping back in history very nice experience."

"Check in process was easy. I booked online but received a veterans discount upon arrival so that was pretty awesome. The room was clean and perfect during our stay. Pretty cool that the room key is an actual key!"
