"My son is Autistic and has severe sensory issues. All of the staff are really amazing with him and help him to feel much more comfortable about dental visits. The office staff Abby, Arey, and Beatrice are always friendly and very helpful with all of the paperwork. I highly recommend and plan to continue to bring my son here for the foreseeable future."
"We had a horrific experience at another dental office same day so decided to walk over to their location and were greeted with happy and knowledgeable staff who welcomed us in and were more than happy to make an appointment timely to see the dentist next week. Arey, Abbi, and Beatriz were a breath of fresh air and my child said just walking into the office you could feel a positive and happy environment to be in! We are looking forward to seeing them again soon and going my child won’t be in pain any longer soon! Thank you all for being incredible❤️"
"As a parent to a child with severe autism, non-verbal, and cognitive delay, I am never excited to do doctor appointments or dental visits. My son has challenging behaviors at home, school, and especially in strange environments with new people. I was initially happy to have found this dental office but I will say I have been keeping my eyes open for something else because I’m looking for a certain experience. The new staff are friendly. The dental assistant that worked with my son was exceptional! I loved her energy and the way she recognized he needed a unique approach to taking his x ray and brushing. My issue is, when I tell my son to sit down, I absolutely hate when a provider opens their mouth and tell me THE PARENT in front of my child, “no he’s okay”. If I redirect my child to sit in a chair because that’s what’s appropriate and expected of him from ME, you as the provider to respect that and not go again at my directives. So then what happened after she disrespected me? My son started to do exactly what I knew he would do, try to destroy equipment. It’s already stressful for a single person to manage all the behaviors and to be spoken against is not okay. Secondly, I would appreciate if I am asked what I would like to see happen with regards to the care my son needs. I have the last say so about what will be done. Not anyone else. Just do better."
"This is “THE BEST” special needs dentist office I have ever been to. I have several kids with autism and they had yet to have a successful dentist visit until we came here. My son typically doesn’t even make it to the chair but this time he was able to receive a full cleaning. The staff were absolutely outstanding, from the front office to the dentist. They worked so well together as a team to ensure their patients had a good experience. My son suffers from sensory issues and when I communicated all of his needs the staff customized his complete visit. The front office, Beatriz, walked us through the office explaining everything step by step with pics and prompts. While waiting to be called back, he was able to play in their really cool sensory room. The dental hygienist, Evenlyn, had his room light dimmed, soft music playing, along with his fav movie on above him (muted). The dentist, Dr. Ashley, was extremely friendly and came in to meet and speak with us. She got all the details she felt she needed to ensure he would have a stressless exam. She realized that my son was still very nervous and allowed me to sit with him in the chair. She had the staff leave for a bit until he was comfortable. The hygienist was great because she tried different cleaning options to see which one best fit his needs. She started off with a really cool tool to take pics of his teeth because he was unable to handle X-rays. After some trial and error we decided to go with manually brushing his teeth and just go really slow. Additional staff, Carmen, came to help out and they both brushed his teeth, tickled, and comforted him. They were nice enough to even take pics for me. They tag teamed making him laugh and getting back to the difficult teeth. This was all while I was still holding him in the chair. When they completed their portion Dr. Ashley returned and gently completed his examination. She was very quick and efficient. My son barely shed a single tear and never screamed or ran away. The staff made sure that he was 100% supported at all times. At the end of the visit, my son received a cool sensory fidget toy, cheers and several high fives from the staff. This was the first time we have walked out a dentist office with no tears and a smile. While I was there I saw many other patients walking in and out of their appointments. I can honestly say they all received the very same experience as my kid did. Their patients ranged from kids to adults with different abilities. I got to witness a returning patient rave about her teeth being fixed and the relief that she was experiencing since her last appointment. She even went on to say she was so frightened at first but because of her accommodations it wasn’t bad at all. She was sad that she had waited so long to get it fixed but she would never do it again because “This place is awesome” she said. I can honestly, easily give the establishment 5 stars without a single thought. I booked all my other kiddos before leaving. Their office manager, Arey, scheduled all 3 of my remaining kids and my son’s follow up visit. In addition, to adding my kids to their waitlist in order for them to be seen quicker. I have given out their information to every single autism parent friend that I know. This place is truly a blessing and they genuinely care about the patients getting the dental care they need. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. ASHLEY AND HER STAFF FOR ALL DENTAL NEEDS."
"It’s important to note that the dentist is no longer Dr David. Office is very clean and sanitary It is easy to schedule Great sensory room We had a great experience with Dr David and Jenny. We were blindsided when we showed up and it was an entirely new staff with no notification ahead of our appointment. With proper communication I think our visit may have gone different and we could have prepared our son for the change. The new dentist was kind, and I recognize it’s got to be hard picking up where someone else left off. The feeling I got was that she would be great with an older population. I did feel as if the assistant was at a loss for what to do with our son, who has severe autism. I get it that takes time and isn’t an easy task. Ultimately we decided this staff wasn’t worth the 45 minute one way commute any longer."
