"Having a run in with the biscuit house, I found black bear diner who had the country fried steak we were craving. We received awesome service since the time they answered the phone to pick up time. Even though they were super busy they maintained their attitudes very well and were always smiling. Food was very fresh and will definitely be coming back. Thanks black bear employees."

"I'm not sure what they've done, but it has improved leaps and bounds since we used to come here. It used to take forever to get seated, and then another forever to be given water and silverware, and then another forever to have our order taken, and then it was a crapshoot whether we'd get our food in a reasonable time. The people were always friendly enough, just not efficient, and after several attempts to have a nice HOT meal at BBD, we gave up and didn't go back for several years. Years. They're still in business, though, and someone wanted some Friday night fish fry, so we went in a couple of months ago with the whole family. Three generations. It was great! We had fun. Our server, Nathan, is so polite and helpful. We love him! He was great with the kids and brought everything hot and fresh, and was generally awesome (and no, LoL, were not related to him! He just did a really good job.) Then a few weeks ago, the fish fry craving came back so we went in again, just the two of us, and Tamara took care of us. She is wonderful! So friendly and cordial. Does her job like a boss and has smiles and kind words for everyone. I tried the fish that night, too, and got sick afterward, so that particular dinner is not for me, but they have lots of other yummy food, some of which I tried just last week when we went AGAIN! (We live in the neighborhood. Maybe we'll become regulars.) The hot turkey sandwich was great and I took half home for lunch the next day, so the price of it covered two meals. We took two of the children with us and all they took home was a few chunks of seasonal fruit. This says a lot. We take them out to dinner often and most of the time, they take home nearly all of their food and it gets thrown away after a few days of sitting in the fridge. I don't appreciate that expense at all. But here, nope. They eat what they order and they ask to come back! Nathan was our waiter again this last visit. He has not lost any of his charm since he was new. We will definitely keep coming here."

"The food and service was amazing. Our server was very attentive and the food came out very quickly. Missed some attention to detail on our order but the burger was very specific and our server apologized before we even said anything. The only negatives are the restaurant is a little dated. Also, the menu is difficult to navigate but there are a lot of options. But that is personal opinion. If you're looking for a small town feel with some great food and nice people this is it."

"Black Bear diner was a delicious home made feel fresh diner. My kids and I were thoroughly impressed with the food choices. It took us quite some time to decide given the vast menu and choices. We loved every meal and the little shop on the way out. Our server was also so very sweet and was 10 steps ahead of us. Highly recommend. Please note: on weekends there is generally a long wait."
