"WORKERS ARE LURKING - This HAS always been a favorite of ours, however; things have changed some & I'll cut right to the chase. Check out day....Father's Day 2023, while we were eating breakfast a couple of the parks people were driving around in their golf cart & stopped & "reminded" us check out was is at 1, we said we were aware & thank you, & they said no worries just letting you know. Now mind you it wasn't even quite 11am yet. After breakfast we began getting our RV ready to leave but my husband found that one of the stakes he made to hold down our awning a few years back had apparently been poured in concrete by a bandit the night before because it would literally not come out of the ground for any reason. Now being ex military my husband can ALWAYS do/make/fix anything with nothing but this tiny stake we used had now decided to test his mastery. Tool after tool, make shift tool after tool - you only have so many tools with you when you're camping as you know,& still nothing. Here comes Ranger Rick again in his golf cart, alone this time. My young son politely greeted him as he pulled up & then he exclaimed to my husband, "you know check out time is 1pm we told you that earlier." I could see mortar shells flying from my husband's eyes but he politely responded with yes, however; I've got a slight issue here as you can clearly see (since he was standing right next to my husband.) Ranger Rick went on to comment, "well you haven't been working on this for half an hour (had this man been hiding in the trees in order to make a statement like that) & then he continued with "and you still have other things to do." At that moment I decided it was best I should just go back to what I was or even was not doing until he was gone. Now mind you it is not even 1pm yet, it is 12:45 & my husband had actually been struggling with the stake for almost exactly a half hour so if he was hiding in the trees he needs a new watch. Since I had just finished up all my typical inside jobs I decided I would do a couple outside ones that were left of his since he was still wrestling with the stake. Needless to say he got the super stake out & just as were pulling out (only 16 mins past 1pm I might add) our camping neighbors came over to share "their" story with us after hearing the show at our trailer. They had a similar issue when they got there & were quite unhappy too. Apparently Ranger Rick started banging on their door at 8am Friday morning waking up their kids all because they hadn't "checked" in their reservation yet. They pulled in after the office had closed Thursday evening. This is not the attitude one should get nor expect from park representatives. I understand there are times when people clearly stay late with blatant disregard & I get people can be handfuls these days too but neither of these situations applied to ours. Needless to say... if you don't like your job, quit, if you're angry at the world a job dealing w/the public is probably not the best for you. So campers, stay here and enjoy this lovely park but beware there are watchers in the trees just waiting to pounce. ***Suggestion for/to all the parks.. if your offices are closed when people pull in to the parks your employees on the golf carts should be able to check campers in at their sites, but ONLY after you see they're awake, after all we are on vacation. It would also alleviate hooking/unhooking our rigs just to drive to the office to register sometimes."
"Great combination of beach, hiking trail, and chilling by campfire. It's nice that safe campfires are not forbidden during high fire danger season. We had excellent relaxing time s a family. Close proximity to beach, lighted toilets and showers, timely trash removal, friendliness of staff, and many other perks made our mini-vacation very special! Short hiking trail starts at the campsite."
"It’s so beautiful here. By far, Top 3 for our family. The water is green and clear. The only down fall is the rocky beach. I would recommend wearing sandals in the water. Campsites are very clean, some have electric outlets and USB ports. We love the fact that they are dog-friendly. Beach area is great for both those who want to be near the kid-friendly area or on the boat dockside… where less people are and it’s a lot quieter. They have a really nice convenience store right on site that has every little thing that you forgot and more. Staff is friendly and helpful."
"Super nice place. Will come back here again. All family really enjoyed the time spent there. Everything is good except that they made only for Idaho residents good prices, to all people from another states you have to pay double. In general super clean warm water. Will recommend to everyone to visit this place."
"After hearing nothing but good things from the local folk, we decided to take a couple of days and went up to fish and explore Priest Lake. This place is an absolute gem! The water is so clean and clear, and the perfect temperature for a swim in the heat of the afternoon. We even had luck with a few trout and smallmoth bass off the dock. The photo opportunities are limitless and if you have a boat I definitely suggest you bring it! My only issue was the number of people (the campground was nearly full) but everyone was respectful and friendly. We will be going again!"
