"Absolutely do not live here. I signed a lease here because of the cheap rent but it’s not worth it. If you have a car or the know how to use the bronco shuttle to get to and from campus, live in a house. A house will be the same price if not cheaper except your experience will be 100% better. At the beginning of the year my “cleaned” room that I moved into was dusty, had hair and garbage in the carpets, and our bathroom and shower has a permanent look of grime and mustiness that I have tried to clean but can’t. My ceiling fan was extremely loose and when turned on it looked like it would fall off of the ceiling, the air vent above my bathroom door also likes to leak at random times even after being “fixed” by maintenance. You have little to no kitchen space and only 3 kitchen drawers to store everything. My dishwasher was riddled with mold and the mold issue had yet to be fixed despite trying to fix it multiple times, both by myself and management. Our fridge power cuts in and out every now and then and no matter what the issue is management is extremely hard to get a hold of and even the office will often be closed at random hours of the day.i have had multiple packages “go missing” even though they will personally text me I have a package in the office. When I went to go pick up the packages they say they can’t find them and blame the Amazon driver or mailman. Management abruptly changed in the middle of the year and caused excess confusion and annoyance when I couldn’t figure out how to pay my rent with the new payment website but also couldn’t get a hold of the office for 2 weeks. I was then charged a $100 late fee ontop of my rent. To top it all off they offered me “the best” lease renewal deal they could offer where they want to raise my rent by over $100. I’m not sure how else to explain it but everything about the building gives me the ick. Save the time, effort, and in the end money and live somewhere else. You won’t regret it."
"Do not live here if you value your well-being. It is extremely worth it to pay a little more for a different apartment. However, let me preface this by saying, Akaya in the leasing office is amazing and has been the only staff I’ve had a good experience with. She is so helpful and kind. Other reviews here about the fire alarms, laundry, mold, parking, etc. are very accurate. I moved out of this apartment over six months ago, and I have still not gotten my security deposit back from them. Dereck, the new manager, will not reply to your emails or calls, even after he says he will resolve an issue many times. After months of me emailing and calling the leasing office, they said that they had lost all of the information and they didn’t know about my security deposit. I had to go on a website and find someone higher up than Derek to contact since he ghosted me for months on end. Apparently, they sent my security deposit to the Idaho unclaimed property and did not tell me until I finally got a hold of the person above Dereck. I have still not gotten my security deposit back, and I’m trying to work with the Idaho unclaimed property to get it back. It was so weird to me, since I was contacting them weekly (and emailing Dereck — to which I never heard back) to see if they had found my security deposit yet lol. There is so much more I could say about this apartment and living experience; I would highly suggest to read all of the other reviews before making a decision. If you do choose to live at these apartments, I’d be ready to strongly stand up for yourself if there is a problem. If you don’t contact them many times and go into the leasing office consistently, I promise you that absolutely nothing will be resolved. If management is not returning your security deposit or not helping you out with a problem, keep email receipts so that you have proof if needed. Apartments are legally required to return your security deposit within 30 days. I am so elated that I never have to go back to this place again! My mental health truly improved immediately when I moved out, and I feel awful for anyone else who has to live there. :("
"lived here unfortunately. Fire alarms go off every time you use the oven or stove and maintenance wouldn’t do anything. Opening the dishwasher would pull out the drawers next to it because of poor placement. Paid $100 a month for a parking spot that would “tow unauthorized vehicles” but never once got an answer from the towing company. Waste of money to pay for parking when people would take my spot of block me in. Had someone park behind me preventing me from being able to get to work and did not get any answers from the 208 or towing company. Our toilet was replaced after it would not flush and did not fit in the bathroom. The door would simply not close so when I reported it they resolved it by sawing a hole in the bathroom door. Do not love having a viewing hole in our bathroom door for our living room guests to see me ! Laundry unit was almost always broken, I spent more money on loads that didn’t wash my clothes than the ones that actually worked. Front gate requires a pin or app to open, however it broke several times locking me out requiring me to wait for someone to leave to enter, or try and climb over the brick wall. Super frustrating place that completely took advantage of young college students."
"Absolutely despise living here. So many better options for what you’re paying. Apartments are old and the room I took over didn’t even have operating lights when I moved in. One of the worst things for me was to wake up to a lawn mower and leaf blower every Friday morning making so much noise right in the middle of the apartment complex."
"My experience currently living at The 208 is actually very good, despite some minor issues. Since the first day I got here, the staff always seemed very reliable and the apartment is great, specially considering the price-benefit ratio. The room is very spacious (such as the commons areas) and I didn't have to buy anything for the house 'cause it already have everything I needed. All the home appliances are good and work very well, including heating and the shower, that are above average. The building's common area is beautiful and well-managed, with many trees, and the location within the city is amazing - relatively close to BSU, downtown, parks, the Greenbelt, grocery stores, theater, bars, restaurants and so on. The minor issues include needing a phone for everything, like using washers and dryers (that work poorly) and open the building's doors. Respectively, coins & bills and keys or tags would work better. Also, there's a lot bureaucracy, including no flexibility for leases. And, last but not least, the sound isolation is poor, being very common for me to listen to things that happen in different apartments and floors. Putting everything together, I really like it, specially considering it fits my budget, I feel comfortable living here and its *very* close to the university."
