"Awesome staff and fabulous work without breaking the bank. I called ahead just to make sure they weren't busy and the staff were very polite and eager to help me make an appointment. I have long hair and a pretty thick beard but they tackled it in no time. They always stopped to ask my opinion or to give advice on style. I wont be going anywhere else in the future. "With going to State Street Barber for over a year, I went in today to see my favorite barber, Jessica. First to get a hair cut, second to give her this box. (See pictures) She certainly earned that award more than I did. She's certainly a first class barber. I could say the same for Dan. And likely everyone else, but they're the only two who've cut my hair or trimmed my beard. But.... I waited for about 40 minutes to get a haircut. (I've never waited longer than 5 before.) Then after 40 minutes, a guy who came in after me got seated first. The customer questioned that I was there first. The other customer even asked me even if I was okay with it. The barber let me know that he had an appointment and came first. The barber then asked if I was okay with it. Yeah, it's probably my fault for not causing a fuss about it. But what was I going to do, say "No, now cut my hair." Nah, I just left. I'm fine with waiting, see above. And I'm fine with making appts. but I'm never fine with being treated as second class. I see all over your Facebook page "NO APPOINTMENT NEEDED!" but make sure to include that other's will be treated better than you if you don't. Dan and Jessica deserve 5 stars. Today's customer service experience deserves 0 stars. I'm going to land on 2 stars."
