Cafe Rio Fresh Modern Mexican

"Our meals were horrendous. What happened to Cafe Rio? The tortilla on my burrito tasted either raw or old (with crunchy bits on a soft tortilla, so I'm guessing old?), and the rice was so crumbly, it's either under cooked or old rice. I used to look forward into digging into the burrito finding ample sweet pork, but tonight I saw a few bits of pork, otherwise it was crumbly rice and beans. My wife's tostada was topped with less than half the salad it normally does, and the grill steak she gets every time was about half as much. The drive through service was alright enough, but the poor girl at the window had to hand me the greasy stick that everyone touches with the card reader on it just so that it could "ask me a question", AKA "tip"? She couldn't even make eye contact with me after handling me the device-on-a-stick. How about you pay your employees better so that they can maintain some sense of dignity rather than beg for tip to supplement their wage? I don't do a lot of reviews on this nonsense, but dinner was so bad I needed a place to vent. Given the quality of the food, I'll be lucky if we're not fighting for the toilet in an hour's time. Good bye, Cafe Rio, you were good when you were, until you weren't, which you no longer are."

"EDITED. The staff here are excellent. I visit this Cafe Rio location nearly every week and have had to correct some order errors, but their customer service is unparalleled. I’ve been compensated when there were errors, and to be fair I usually order a lot of food to feed a big family. Recently, my wife went back to get some more chips because we ran out before finishing the salsa and queso, and they gave her the chips for free! I’m sure they can’t do that every time, but gestures like that are so appreciated. The manager is doing a great job and is very accommodating. Overall, a positive experience."

"Rice was hard. Beans looked awful. Just not good. It is always disturbing to see someone wearing gloves and working the register while wearing them. Hopefully they aren't going back to food making afterwards. This location is going downhill."

"Fast, friendly, and great quality food. The atmosphere is inviting with high energy. They sung songs and made sure I had everything for my order. They were very upbeat, fun, and energetic. The restaurant and bathrooms clean. Food was fresh and stocked. I am very picky and like to customize my order and they did this all with ease and a positive attitude. I appreciate the manager coming over to my table asking me how my experience and the quality of food was. I feel valued and respected. I will be returning to this location. Great service, thank you team!"

"Don’t do it! Just got food from there today for the first time. The quality of food made you feel like for sure you were gonna get food poisoning. We usually go to Costa Vida and they blow cafe rio out of the water. The lettuce was wilted and rancid, no cilantro or greens in the burritos or on the nachos, and the rice in the burritos was still hard. Save yourself the money and go to costa Vida or any other Mexican place. We got a nacho, tacos and two different burritos and all of it was so bad."
