"I have been going to Michael/Food Mood for the past year and it has genuinely been the most effective treatment I have received. I have been in therapy off and on for most of my life, but this is by far the best program I have come across. Michael is incredibly thorough in creating a plan and an environment in which success is not only possible, but realistic. There is a decent amount of 'homework' assigned, but I have found it to be 1) important to understanding my eating disorder in a nuanced and abstract sense, and 2) it has granted me the tools necessary to tackle this issue both with the help of Michael and by myself. Furthermore, the work you put in never feels overwhelming and lapses in treatment are met with grace. If you struggle with an eating problem of any magnitude, I implore you to check out Food Mood. Legitimately one of the best decisions I have ever made."
"In a few short months Michael was able to give me resources and explain how to use them in order to help manage anxiety and stressful situations. He's able to accommodate for personal speeds in understanding what's being explained, taking time with things or summarizing when needed based on how I felt. No session was rushed and he always worked on how to use his resources between sessions. Although I have not needed a session for a few months, he has made sure to check in on me without being overbearing. I feel like a friend more than a client when we talk and I know he can be there when I need to schedule a new session. I'm rating all 5 stars because I always felt lucky to have found this group when I did and I hope someone else will be just as lucky"
