Albin's Fine Jewelry

"My wife's clasp broke off of her neck chain. I went to albins, I received a quote of $28 to to attach the clasp back onto the chain. I asked if I could wait for it and she told me no because the jeweler was busy, I asked if it could be done today? She says yes but it would be double. So instead of $28 it would be $56. Needless to say I refused to do business with this company. The lady was very nice and polite. It probably would have taken about 5 minutes to do the repair, I did not need any parts for the chain it just needed to be welded back to the clasp. I did not feel as if they wanted my business. They are not BBB accredited."

"I like this place,I was referred to it by a friend I haven't had anything made yet because they are still on back orders but I love the service I have been getting, I have been bringing all my watches that have been sitting around needing batteries in until I get a chance for other things...very helpful and friendly"

"Would not recommend for any watch work. They were unable to take out a few links in my new watch I had recently bought. They were pounding on it with a mallet, and ended up damaging one of the links. They just needed to unscrew the link to get it out. They clearly do not know what they’re doing when it comes to watches. It pains me to give them a one star review, because I have used them on resizing rings and bought a wedding band from them years ago but this is just unacceptable for a fine jewelry store."

I've had other jewelry stores make repairs on rings in the past. They're work was cheaper done and much more expensive.
