"I had minimal dance experience as a kid. I briefly joined a different studio in 2019 before taking a travel job. After 3 years of major setbacks and life happenings, at 27, I decided to try dance again. I was a bit overwhelmed at first due to starting late from moving, but I have quickly fallen in love with dance and it brings me true happiness. It is helping me overcome many obstacles and pulling me out of a rut I thought I’d never get out of, especially since practicing at home, it’s like free therapy. I told Mr. Norvin last week that this is what I want to do, this is my new hobby. I never thought another sport could make me as happy as softball ever did, but I feel like I should’ve been dancing all along. I love this studio and look forward to many years of dancing here. If you’re an adult wanting to dance for the first time but you’re unsure, I highly recommend this place for anyone. The kids always look so happy to be there too. All of the instructors are so patient and I can’t put into words how grateful I am for this place. I could go on all day."

"We love this studio! I danced with Miss Kathie in Dino's show when I was a little girl. I found out she was teaching in Branson, and I didn't hesitate to sign up my daughter when she was 2 1/2 (in 2012). She fell in love with dance and Miss Kathie. I was convinced to start dancing again, and even though I was in my late twenties with 3 (now 4) kids, Miss Kathie encouraged me I could still do ballet and tap (and whatever else I wanted to take). I have grown as a dancer and as a person because of this studio. My son started in tap, tumbling, and hip hop and my younger daughter started ballet, tap, and tumbling as soon as she was old enough. Each year I have seen them improve and grow as dancers. Another reason that we chose this studio was because they did NOT do competitions. We wanted the dance experience to be fun without the pressure of competing. We had seen the effects of dance competition on young kids and knew that was not what we wanted for our family. We love the focus of doing productions that encourage everyone to work together. It has become such a family thing that we even got my husband involved with stage crew. If you want to learn dance in a safe, loving environment with people who are willing to work hard and have fun doing it, this is the place for you! No pressure, just encouragement and healthy expectations to work and do your best. Thank you Miss Kathie and Miss Christy for all you do for the kids and adults at Sonshine. You are awesome!"
