"Attempted to move out of a property, and despite giving a 600 pet deposit, a 500 security deposit, these people felt the need...with no lease intact...to continue charging my back account for rent toward a property I no longer resided in. This after begging them for weeks on the cusp of winter to fix a furnace as our indoor temperatures were reaching 30 degrees. Slum lords who treat you as if they are doing YOU the favor, rather than providing housing for currency. Edit:. The below response by the owner is a wonderful example of small town businesses attempting to strong arm people who review their businesses poorly, without realizing that this type of behavior is able to be turned into agencies like the FTC. In fact, I urge anyone who has been attacked for leaving a review, especially being attacked with verifiably wrong information to do so. Good examples in this case would be attempting to uphold an expired lease contract (don't worry, have copies and time stamped pictures.) Attempting to wholesale lie about the state of the house (don't worry, have time stamped pictures of that"brand new" carpet that was blackened by foot traffic. Good thing I took them after the giant red flag of one of the owner's minions telling me "Not to worry about it, they knew it was like that."). In fact, they were so eager to get us into that house because they knew we were desperate at the time. Or perhaps the fact that I waited two and a half months (easily verified via time stamped, archived text exchanges) to wait for duct repair work to be done for a furnace to operate properly. Who has ever heard of an HVAC company not having materials on hand to fix the most universal aspect of an HVAC system? And while I will give it to them, that the pet deposit is 200, it is rather disingenuous to not include the additional cost for each additional pet. Which came to 600 dollars. Or the fact that knowing full well that I was moving out, happily giving up a 500 dollar security deposit, knowing that the owner was a individual who loved to abuse tax payer dollars tying up the court system with her mundane nonsense. I suppose the real problem for the owner is that she ended up at odds with some who knew her history, and prepared for it. The truth is, this business is the epitome of laziness. Do as little as possible, then try to bully their tenants out of more money. The owner herself, I did not meet once in a year and a half of renting from them. I suppose she couldn't be bothered to be seen around the "plebs." And it permeated the entirety of the time I rented a house from this business. Told the day I was handed the keys, someone would be by with a air filter. That air filter did not get changed until an HVAC repairman pulled the disinigrating former filter 10 months later as I lost work waiting around on repairmen, waiting around on returned calls, and developing lung issues from living in an unheated home. Laziness in the form of not actually getting an updated lease contract, the ultimate reason for my (at the time, amicable) departure, as it is usually a sign when these small town slum lords don't renew a lease, that they are planning to jack up rent. Hell, this review wouldn't even exist if the owner had not been so lazy that she could not stop payment on the final half month rent that should have only been charged if I had lived there. But because she couldn't even do that, and let greed and laziness rule her "business," her "business" is being reviewed poorly as a result. And finally... In response to the owner of Prime Plus: If you continue to escalate upon my attempts to write an honest review, I will first edit this review yet again to include all photographic evidence of your disingenuous lies, and I then will work to invoke every consumer protection available to me. Is it not better to get one bad review, accept your greedy, lazy, slum lord ways...and attempt to improve, or do damage to your business because a tenant had better record keeping than you? I dunno, seems pretty logical to me."
