"Perfect location and traffic was not bad! The restaurant is ok but also local options that are close. The pool was nice but hot tub was broken unfortunately but we would stay here again"

"Watch out especially in the winter for the extra $30 a night resort fee to use the other hotel. Bathroom in the first room smelled like sewer gas. Staff is rude. Checked in and walked to our room passed the pool which had beer cans sitting around the edge. Did not feel like it’s friendly for kids at all."

"The reply from Bass Pro to this thread asking for me to contact them with further discussion, I answered and they did not respond. Imagine how they must treat guests who signed long term contracts! I and my extended family will no longer support this bait and switch organization whose multiple attractions in our area we use to frequent. They sold us a room with faulty heating during a literal freeze warning. They did not answer for a while at the desk. After 6am, they did offer us another room to shower in, and had the audacity to ask we come again. At least I know better than to consider a time share with Big Cedar Lodge. Our first trip together in decades and Johnny Morris should be ashamed!"

"After reading some of the negative reviews I was hesitant about staying here. We accidentally booked our stay at the Springfield location when we arrived the hotel clerk was able to get things transferred to the Hollister location. Please don't pay attention to the negative reviews. Everything was great. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, and I didn't notice any odors in the room. It had a fresh smell to it. The breakfast was very good. We will stay here again no questions asked."

"First the good. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The room is what was expected for a 2-star hotel. The breakfast was also decent for that level of hotel. Now the bad. The pillows were some sort of foam material that looked fluffy but offered no support, super weird. The pillows caused an allergic reaction for me. The mattress had a funny mix of smells of perfume, and various body odors. For these reasons, I would not recommend this hotel."
